Happy Junior year East High! It should be a good year...hopefully...

"Hey B!" I hear my best friend Ashlyn say.

I turn around and we both squeal as we give each other the biggest hug.

"I saw you literally last week but I've missed you!" She says as we walk into school with out arms linked

"I've missed you too, Ash" I giggle.

Ashlyn Caswell, my best friend since we were 12 years old. We can be complete opposites except when it comes to our love of theatre and musicals. I love to sing, dance, and play sports like both varsity volleyball and basketball. No, I did not just do a metaphorical hair flip.

Ashlyn on the other hand is pretty much in every club you can imagine. Which I am so proud of her. She is so incredibly smart.

"Junior year is going to be great, just one more year and then we're seniors!"

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Ash" I chuckle.

"I'm just excited okay? I can't help it! We're growing up!"

"Ew, don't remind me" I shudder.

"We have to grow up at some point, B"

"I know, I just don't like to talk about it" I say and Ashlyn rolls her eyes.

"Good morning, students" Our principal comes over the intercom.

"Please make your way to the gym for our annual back-to-school kickoff"

"Meet you by the bathrooms in two minutes?" I ask.

"You got it"

I head to my locker, having to bang on it once before I can even open it.

I shove the books I don't need into my locker and look at my makeup in my magnetic mirror. Really tried to make myself seem presentable today. Make myself seem like I am mentally and emotionally stable which couldn't be farther from the truth but that's not the point

"Hey Belle"

I jump and take a deep breath.

"You scared me you ass hat"

Ej Caswell, Ashlyn's cousin and he just so happens to be my other best friend. All three of us kind of grew up together and we have all been inseparable. He's super athletic, on the water polo team. Also, loves musical theatre. All around super talented in every aspect, and he knows it too.

"That's not very nice to say to your best friend who you've missed so much" he says messing up my hair slightly.

"Eh not as much as you think" I say fixing my hair.

"Hmm. Well I guess I'll just keep what I brought back for you" he shrugs and starts to walk away.

I smile and close my locker door.

"Ej Caswell, I have missed you so much!" I say running up to him and wrapping my arms around him.

"Yeah, that's what I thought" he smirks and takes off his book bag and digs into one of the pockets.

"I didn't put it in anything but I saw it and thought of your annoying ass" he smiled.

He hands it to me and it was a bracelet that had three charms on it. It had the theatre masks, a microphone, and a music note.

"Eej, this is so cute! I love it! Thank you" I smile giving him a tight hug.

"You're welcome. Want me to put it on?"
