Enji punched a sandbag over and over again, until it flew across the room. Enji grunted, and wiped the sweat off of his forehead. He looked up and saw Hisoka staring at him, standing with a hand on his hip. He had an intrigued look on his face, one making Enji give an uncomfortable sound.

"Training for me Endeavor? I'm so honored~♡" Hisoka smirked.  Enji normally would've shuddered, but he had gotten used to it by now.

"Don't be, I'd do this for any opponent," Enji grunted. Hisoka licked his lips. He moved towards Enji, shaking his hips every step and placed a well manicured hand on his shoulder.

"Well, it's still making me excited,"  Hisoka said in a sultry voice, making Enji blush heavily. He could barely move away from Hisoka, and still hadn't stopped blushing.

"Just leave me alone right now," he said,  starting to have conflicting feelings for the clown. Hisoka chuckled to himself.

"O-kay~♡" he said, and walked out of the training room. Any hopes Enji had of focusing after that were crushed. Just a couple days ago, Enji would've killed the man no hesitations, but now he was feeling strange towards to the foreign man. What had happened to him?

It was a few hours later, and Enji was training with Shoto. Shoto didn't want to be there- and he wasn't sure because it meant spending time with his father or because he would have to ask about the...clown situation.

"So is...Hisoka your....boyfriend or something like that?" Shoto asked when Enji went to get a drink of water. Enji spat it out.

"WTF NO IM NOT GAY," Enji shouted a bit too loud. Shoto flinched.

"Jfc I just asked...and I don't care if your bi or gay or whatever..." Shoto then mumbled the next part, "the gay gene had to come from someone," Shoto fiddled with his fingers. Enji sighed and went back to quirk training.

Enji arrived home at around 6, and opened the door to Hisoka draped out on a couch wearing a robe. Enji instantly covered his face, hiding his blush.

"Endeavor, you kept me waiting so long~♡" Hisoka seductively said, nails clicking on a wine glass he was holding.

"Hisoka, I think we need to set up boundaries-" Hisoka proceeded to cut Enji off.

"I made reservations for us at a nearby restaurant for tomorrow night~ you better not be late♧," and with that, Hisoka got off the couch, and walked down the hall.

The next day:

After a long day of training, Enji came home earlier. While he didn't want to go out with Hisoka, he felt like he needed to. He showered and changed and dressed somewhat nice. When he left his room, Hisoka was waiting for him. Hisoka also looked decent, dropping the crop top for a white suit. Hisoka opened his mouth to speak, but Enji walked past him.

"Just get in the car,"

They arrived at the restaurant and managed to get in without paparazzi swarming Enji. They went to a private room in the back so no one could bother them. Being all alone with Hisoka in a room with plenty of space made him uncomfortable to say the least.

"So uh..what was the point of our dinner?" Enji asked, Hisoka smiled.

"You only have one more day to prepare for our fight and I'm so excited~♡"

"I gathered that...but isn't this fancy of a restaurant too much to...celebrate? I mean, how did you even pay for this-"

"Those details aren't important- but you don't understand how much a powerful battle means to me. There's only one other fight that I'm this level of excited for, perhaps even more," Hisoka grinned, eyes going lustful. Enji felt a pang in his heart. Why was he upset that Hisoka was more excited to fight some other random person more than him?

"Battle does seem...important to you. I personally can't understand it, but..quirks aside, the fire that burns when I realize I have an actual fight. The battle where I got this scar," Enji pointed at the gash running down his face, "The adrenaline overpowered me and it was like nothing I had felt ever before," Enji explained. Hisoka seemed thoroughly amused.

"So you do get it. Of course, it's not quite how I feel about fighting, the act of showing another their power, but it'll suffice," Hisoka put a hand on Enji's shoulder. Enji didn't remove his hand. "You have one more day to prepare, to fully impress me. Whatever will you do Endeavor?" After that, the servers came in with their orders, and they spent the rest of dinner in silence. Enji hated the burning in his chest, the burning that he couldn't fully detect what it meant. He despised Hisoka, how could he be switching his feelings for him so quickly? They hadn't even known eachother for a week! And judging by Hisoka's talks of other men, it didn't even plausible Hisoka would feel the same.

Enji crawled into bed after arriving home, heart heavy. His horrible crush was going to ruin his life. He hoped whatever butterflies flying in his stomach were just anxiety.
