Maddison had a crush on her best friend Clay for as long as she could remember but never could work up the courage to tell him once she went off to college she never would get to tell him until he sends her a text
As soon as I read the message on my phone I couldn't help but reply without thinking Clay Hey I was wondering if u wanted to come stay for summer break like old times ? Maddie I would love too!!
My heart was pounding at what felt like 1000 mph I couldn't believe that he even texted me it had been two years since we talked .of course we had social media so I knew that he had become this insanely popular Minecraft player but whenever I watched his videos I never seen how his fans look at him I always seen the same dorky overly confident clay that I grew up with and I knew the second that I seen him I would get all those feelings back
As soon as I put my phone down I started to pack my bag I noticed that all my clothes weren't that fancy but I knew it wouldn't have mattered . me and Clay would just hang out nothing too fancy so I threw what looked comfy in .I set my alarm so that I would have plenty of time to get ready in the morning I laid my head down and went to sleep way too excited for what tomorrow was
Next morning I got up at 9 AM I wanted to make sure I still had time to get breakfast before I hit the road I stepped out of bed my feet hit my cold hardwood floor which sent chills up my body I quickly made my way to the bathroom and started to do my morning routine I brush my hair then my teeth I looked at myself in the mirror for a while before I decided if I was going to put on make up or not I decided on a little bit since I didn't want it to look all messed up after a two hour car ride after a little bit of concealer and mascara I made my way to my bedroom to put on comfortable clothes

After looking through my drawers I decided on just a plain black pair of joggers with a white long sleeve and a pair of my white tennis shoes . I grabbed my bags and made my way downstairs to my car. After putting my bags in my backseat I got in and started the car an immediate rush of cold air hit me it I was glad I wore A long sleeve I turned on my GPS and started to make my way Home
After about 20 minutes in the car my stomach made the loudest grumbling noise and I forgot I didn't eat breakfast this was the whole reason I got up so early I guess the idea and excitement of seeing Clay made me completely forget I seen a Starbucks and pulled into the drive-through I ordered A ham and cheese biscuit and a lemonade I was never the biggest fan of coffee
After about halfway through the drive I texted Clay letting him know I was on my way
