Chapter 2.2

I was the first to wake up, it was gloomy but not completely dark. I looked down at Newt who was sleeping like a baby; he still had his hands around me. I was being go careful when I got up as to not wake him, however, that didn't last long as I reached the ladder of the bunk bed I was still half asleep and miss judged where the ladder was, so my hand slipped and as I fell I let out a little scream as I was falling to the hard floor. It didn't hurt that much as I manage to sit up and look at the bunk I had just fallen from, then I heard people wake up and flash their torches at me. They were laughing as they could guess what had happened,

"Oh my gosh Jen are you ok?" Laughed Newt as he came down from the bunk bed, he extended his arm out and helped me up. I started rubbing my butt as it hurts from when I hit the floor, Thomas got up and turned the lights on still laughing.

"Yeah I'm fine, but we need to put lights on the floor so I know next time where the ladder is" I said joking.
Everyone still hasn't gotten over the fact that I fell of and were still giggling until Newt replied;

"I think you're right" he chuckles pulling me into his arms, he places his lips on my forehead and I hugged him. I could tell that people were watching us but I didn't really care.

"Okay lovebirds we need to get ready" Minho says getting out of bed "right so here's what's
happening-"

I interrupt him "Shotgun for the bathroom" I say whilst grabbing some clothes that the guards left us last night and running of. As I left the room I could hear laughter from the guys, typical.

When I reached the bathroom I take a look at the clothes they have provided us, I had a blue long sleeved top and some black joggings. "They aren't that bad" I think to myself while placing them on my body.

I open up the bathroom door and see a woman, a doctor standing there; "hello Jenny please follow me" she says and starts walking through the dorm that me and the guys were in.

When we were walking through it the boys stared at me and I look over at Newt and shrugged, he looks at the doctor like he doesn't trust her. He led me to a medical lab and sat me down on a hospital bed; "wait here please" she says and walks off. I look to my left and Thomas Newt and Minho were there with Mr.Janson and they were taken of by different doctors, I lock eyes with Newt as he is placed on a seat opposite me it looks like he is getting a blood test done. He stares at me frowning as the woman came back and closes the blue curtain around me, she proceeds to say: "okay so what we are doing here is I am just going to ask you a few questions to begin with is that alright?" She asks pulling a stall with wheels at the bottom and grabs a note pad and pen. I nod.

"Great, so as you are I'm sure aware that you were one out of two girls there and so did you have any sexual relationships with any of the guys" she looks at me in the eyes as if she is trying to read my mind. I look away and nod again, I saw her write down something on a notepad; "okay hunny, we are going to need to do some tests on you to see if you are pregnant as there could be a chance you are" she says with a concerned face. She takes out a needle and places it in my arm, my vision becomes blurry, I struggle to move and then it went black.

Newts point of view

The doctor closes the curtain around Jenny, I didn't trust her one bit so I wanted to get closer. As the doctor left my side to do something else I got up and tried to move the curtain until another doctor came jogging at me. "I'm sorry but you aren't allowed to see behind the curtain" he said while pushing me away. All I saw was the doctor sticking a needle into her arm and then Jenny fell asleep.

For all I know she could've poisoned her. Minho and I were led into the canteen where Teresa and Fry were and we joined them on a bench and then Thomas came and sat down.

"Guys I don't trust this place one bit" I say frowning "and I certainly don't trust the woman doctor what ever with Jen" they all look at me like I was crazy.

"Newt what's gotten into you? She is fine the doctors are just trying to help" Fry says learning forward towards me. I frown and look away.

"Can I have everyone's attention please" look behind me to see Mr.Janson standing there he continued "it's that time of the day where I call out some names to go to your permanent home" everyone cheered apart from the guys and me. He starts to call out names and one by one they all got up with smiles spread across their faces. People were cheering them on.

A guy that sat on our table says asks us where we come from but of course we don't know but we do mention that there is two other girls in our glade, he replied with; "oh that's like Arise, the boy over there." He points to a boy sat by himself with his hood up, we all look over, "I heard he was put into the maze with a group of all girls... some guys were lucky" he jokes. Very funny.

I look at a wall that has windows that face the hallway and see Jen and Teresa being escorted with doctors and guards. I took a good look at Jen she was pale, her arm was showing and I could see that it was covered with bruises and cuts.

"Thomas look" I said point to the window, we look at each other and get out of our seats and start walking towards the exit door which was unfortunately guarded by guards with big guns. They wouldn't let
us through and we caused a commotion until Mr.Janson came over and ordered us into our rooms.

"That's just great" I yell "did you see the condition Jen was in?!" I continued banging on the dorm door. Minho was trying to calm me down but I didn't listen. When suddenly a square metal door launched open underneath one of the bunk and Aris comes crawling in, "come on guys we gotta go!" Thomas yells. He ties the door shut with some bed sheets in a panic.

We all look at him confused, "Thomas can you tell us what's going on?".I ask but all I get as an answer is: "there's no time just follow me" as Thomas started climbing through the vent. We all follow him.

Finally we come to a stop and I glance down at the room we are above, I gasp. I can see Jen covered with tubes in a hospital dress she was skinny and as white as a ghost; Thomas slowly lifted up the vent gate and he jumped into the room and started attacking the doctors knocking them unconscious. I jumped down and ran over to Jen removing all of the tubes that were flowing liquid into her body.
"What did they do to you" I whisper to her as her eyes start to open. I kiss her forehead and was relieved because she is now in my arms once more.
