It was good she got out of L'Manberg earlier, because if she hadn't, more TNTs would have exploded at her.

The girl fell to the ground, her tail slowly reappearing. She gritted her teeth at the thought of Dream lying, but now wasn't the time to feel infuriated.

In a blink, the half enderman got out of the house.

"Ranboo..." a smile formed on her mouth, crawling with every strength she had to get to him.

"SEREIA?" He called out, sprinting towards her. "I HEARD EXPLOSIONS! ARE YOU OKAY?"

She gave him her brown saddle weakly. "Ranboo, I don't think I have much time left..."

"No, no, Sereia, don't say that." He briskly shook his head, holding her in his arms. "Why are-why you-why are you turning into a mermaid again? OW!"

Her skin turned moist, and Ranboo flinched at it.

"I...have to tell you...something."

"I have to tell you something, too! But first, I want to say I'm sorry." He quaked. "About yesterday, I was being a fool, and, and,"

"Shut up." She shushed him.

Ranboo trembled, knowing she didn't want him to apologize as much. "Oh, right! You have something to say, yeah? Me too. Why don't we say it at the same time? One, two, thr—"

"—I love you..."

Ranboo's jaw dropped. He was gonna say the same thing. He never expected her to say it, so now he was lost for words.

"Sereia, I lo-" he faltered at her painful scales, cursing under his breath. When he looked back at her, she didn't seem to be breathing.

"Holy shit, Sereia? Hello? Please, god, wake up!" He gaped at her pale face.

He had to get her to the water.

"Shit, shit, shit!" He kept flinching. Each droplet of  water from her epidermis made his skin burn.

Ranboo carried her bridal style, wishing with every step that the mermaid would live. It was still a long way to the pond, and the agony he felt was like when he was running in the rain.

"You're gonna be alright, please stay with me." He kept glancing down at her lips and it looked like she was still inhaling. "You know, I think it's time I told you why roses are my favorite flower."

"It reminds me of you. You already know that, but you didn't know why, and I think you deserve to know, so please listen. This is a now or never moment." He felt his dermis vaporize, scorching like hell.

"The thorns of the stem, it hurts me, like your soaked skin. I hate it, I hate it so much, but since it's a part of you, nothing's wrong with that. You're the most beautiful mermaid, human, girl, whatever you are or will be, you'll still make me fall the same way. That's why I said not everything beautiful was easy to get—AGH!"

The half enderman teleported before dropping themselves to the ground in front of the pond. Tears started to form in his eyes and it burned him so much.

"Can I kiss you? Sereia, please," he sobbed. "Fuck it, I'm so sorry. This is a now or never moment."

Holding his breath, he leaned in and pressed his lips against hers.

It had a sweet feeling...something he's been meaning to do for a long time. It wasn't the most ideal kiss, but it was either that or nothing.

Finally, he pulled away and rolled the mermaid into the pond, hands going in the water to put her down gently. His whole body was red and blemished with cuts.

Sereia sank to the very bottom.

Ranboo exhaled deeply. "I love you too."
