Izuku POV
"Oh. No. They were super welcoming and even told me their entire plan to destroy the hero society." I replied when they asked me what had happened for the fourth fucking time.
Aizawa sensei shot me an arduous look to shut me up.
Well, the first three times I had earnestly said that I recalled only being tied up and drugged. Did they expect a different answer the fourth time?
The procedure was tedious and frankly uncalled for. Sure, I had been kidnapped by the country's possibly biggest network of villains but it had been nearly three days since I had had a proper meal. I mean, let a guy eat.
The man in front of me, Mr. Tsukauchi I think, squinted his eyes and for a moment there I was afraid that he might have seen through my desultory lie.
But instead I simply turned to sensei. "If we're done, can I leave? If I don't eat I might have to borrow your sleeping bag to pass out in."
To that almost instantaneously Aizawa replied, " You've slept more than enough these past few days. And Naomasa-san I think he has adequately responded to your questions. We shall take your leave. Thank you."
The inspector looked disconcerted but nodded nevertheless, acknowledging our dismissal.
Once we stepped out the teacher said " Catch up on what you've missed on the last two days. And please convey to the class that there is no training today. You all are allowed one final day to go out, buy your necessities and settle into the new dorm." I grinned at him and proceeded to run back to class to deliver the message.
The prospect of where I might be that evening sent shivers down my spine. I could almost hear Toga scream laughing at Shiggy's displeasure at my presence, the taste of Kuro's infamous onigiri, Twice twitching in a corner having eaten one of them.
And finally I could almost feel his warm arms wrapped around me as he whispered sweet nothings into my ear, occasionally joining the conversation to simply throw jabs at Shiggy. I imagined the sting of his hair, his tendrils softly stab me while I adamantly stuck to his side. His deep laugh reverberating and enveloping me, as I emerge from that chrysalis feeling loved, wanted. I could perfectly imagine those deep penetrating eyes focussed entirely on my own. Or even how the uncharacteristically cool metal snagged on my lips as I –
I bumped into Iida. Just the guy I wanted to see. I still grumbled at having being interrupted.
I explained the situation to him and he pat my back and smiled, grateful for my safe return. He began walking with purpose to the classroom. I tagged along only partially listening to him brief me on what had transpired in my absence. My mind seemed to be engaged in a far more riveting "conversation" with itself.
The news was welcomed with cheers. Mina stood on her table and screamed, "LETS GET WASTED YALL" Everyone laughed and immediately started putting together a plan. I chuckled and silently excused myself from their shenanigans despite their uproar. I obviously had much better things to attend to.
*time skip*
"You have to help me." I whispered. "I'm brought here against my will."
"Oh my god. Stop being so overdramatic." Uraraka giggled beside me.
The man behind the counter didn't even look up from his phone. Hmph, rude.
"Yeah man. You won't even be there to make a fool of yourself when Mina makes us drink like a pirate who'd been trapped in sea for a year. Least you could do is let us use your superstrength to lift these bags back to the dorm." Sero said.
"That was very specific" I muttered.
Mina jumped on his back and tried to squeeze in two more bottles much to Sero's dismay. Kirishima laughing, pulled her away and added, " C'mon Midobro. I'm sure your evening activity could wait a few minutes."
'No, it can't.' I thought to myself.
I threw my hands in the air, giving up against this raucous bunch "Ugh, fine." They all whooped and thrust the bags in my direction.
Kaminari screamed, "Last one to the dorm has to dunk a spoonful of wasabi with soy sauce."
A group of lactose intolerant wildebeest leaving after having too much tacobell would sufficiently describe what it looked like.
There was only one other person who seemed all too uninterested. And he was standing next to me, juggling bags. He grumbled, " I don't have nearly enough bleach for whatever I'm going to see."
I chuckled and helped the unwilling boy "I'd think you'd have used all your bleach for that shark fin on your head"
"HEY. No smart quips about my hair, shitty nerd. It takes longer to make it than it took your dad to..."
He stopped mid-sentence, realising too late.
"..than it took my dad to bring the milk home? I don't think so." I filled in jokingly, trying to ease the tension.
He turned suddenly but seemed to stop himself from saying what he wanted to. Instead he tsked in annoyance, grabbed two bags from my hand and started walking towards the new dorms.
He paused and asked, "Well, are you coming or are you going to take after that bastard?"
I laughed and ran to catch up to him.
Before I could reach him, I saw a silhouette move away from the light of the street. I silently signalled to Bakugou to wait for me and stealthily moved toward the dark figure. They hadn't seemed to have noticed me yet. Good.
I saw a flutter of wings intercept the possible villain from the other side. I decided the situation was well under the pro hero's control so I slowly retreated. My eyes were still fixed on what was happening, in the unlikely event that my help might be needed.
Man. This pretend hero thing was tiring.
The pro moved closer to the person and surprisingly the villain(?) moved forward as well. It was almost like I was intruding on something personal, something intimate. A blush slowly crept up my neck and against my better judgement I figured I'd sneak a quick peek at the hidden someone if only to make fun of the young hero later on. But when I saw the face of the person walk out of the dark, I stopped.
I immediately turned and rapidly walked away. I pulled Bakugou away from that street and away from that alleyway.
There was an incessant barrage of questions. But I couldn't hear him over the ringing in my ears. He yanked my arm stopping me in my tracks.
I said softly, "Pro Hero Hawks seems to have taken control of the situation. Don't worry."
I could feel his gaze cut me open, it was as if he somehow knew that there was more to it.
I swallowed once and finally looked at him. Plastering a fake grin I said, "I think I will take them up on their offer to get totally wasted tonight."
