"I don't trust it! She the same lady that said you was ghetto." Demetrious ranted

Ayanna sat as she listen to her grandmother go on and on about how she shouldn't have dinner with her father and his wife, Demetrious knew Rose didn't like her granddaughter because of her man stepping out on her.

"I want to be close to my father and my sister is that too much to ask for?" Ayanna asked annoyed

Demetrious folded her arms "I'm just trying to keep you safe I'm all for you having a great relationship with your father and sister but that woman that he is with is the devil."

Ayanna knew her grandmother was over dramatic when it came down to people, in Demetrious eyes she didn't trust no one growing up in Queens you had to survive on your own especially at Demetrious age.

During the 70's Demetrious parents were crack addicts, they had completely stop taking care of their four children they had leaving Demetrious, the oldest stepping up to take care of her siblings.

"The baby is coming soon I just want my child to have the love I didn't get to receive when I was younger." Ayanna said

"The girl is grown Demetrious she can make her own decisions for herself." Thomas agreed with Ayanna as he came from the kitchen

Demetrious cut her eyes at Thomas making him close his mouth instantly leaving the two ladies to their discussion "Fine! You are grown Yanna but when I tell you be careful around that woman I won't hesitate to put my hands on that bitch!"

Ayanna rolled her eyes as she watched her Grandmother go back to watching the News as if they didn't just have a conversation, she knew right then and there that her grandmother had spoke her peace and now it was time for Ayanna to move on her own decision.

Ayanna closed the door to her Honda Accord she looked around in the community seeing the nice beautiful houses that sat next to her father house, she was surprised to see how Charles and Ebony was living comfortably in a nice neighborhood far from the gang life, and street activities in Queens Ayanna never wanted another life someone else was living if it wasn't for her struggling to get her life together and her business she probably wouldn't know where she would be right now in life.

Knocking on the door Ayanna rubbed her belly she was anxious to know what she was having as more time pass she couldn't sit still waiting for her next doctors appointment that was coming up in the next following weeks, hearing the door open Ayanna snapped out of her daze as she eyed her beautiful young sister standing in the door way.

"Hey sissy! You look so cute with your belly poking out of that sun dress." Ebony said as she leaned in for a hug

"Thank you I love your outfit who is it by?" Ayanna asked already knowing her young sister was rocking the latest designer from head to toe

"This is Chanel new fall collection it hadn't even dropped yet, I have a friend who is in fashion school she get all the new shit." Ebony said as she closed the door behind them

"I'm glad you came I didn't think you would show up." Ebony went onto say

"At first I was hesitant but I want a relationship with you and dad before my baby come." Ayanna said sincerely

Ebony held a smile on her face "And a relationship you shall receive I can't wait to become a auntie to that little precious soul."

Ebony led the way into the kitchen where Charles and Rose was finishing up the last meal that they had both prepared together, Seeing both of his daughters make their way into the kitchen Charles smiled instantly.
