Dad? (Reader X Bakugo)

What just happened?

AN: How did you recover so fast? The Medicine didn’t do it to you, the medicine just made the poison stop. Let’s take it back a few hours before you were injected by the antidote. 

The figure that was hiding in the closet had a little child with him, but of course Bakugo was to blind to notice the child because he wanted to save you. After Bakugo ran to you to give you the antidote, the figures came out into the light and called the person who gave you the poison to go to them. “Did the poison work?” 

The person looked down, “Yes and no… The poison got their heart to stop beating but he was doing compressions ever since the monitor went off. They got a suction and sucked the poison out of them. They are going to live. I’m sorry I failed sir.” 

The strange figure put his hand on the person’s face. “It’s fine. I never wanted to kill them. I just wanted to see what Kacchan would do in that situation.” The figure took his mask off and showed his face, then the little child took theirs off. It seemed to be pro hero Deku and little Eri. “I find it adorable how he worries for them.” 

Eri stands there and just holds onto Deku’s hand. “Hey Mr. Deku? … Can I go wake them up now?” Eri gives Deku the puppy dog eyes. 

“You know they don’t work on me anymore. You almost made me bankrupt with those. But in a bit. I already knew he had medicine to cure her injuries, I just wondered what he was going to do if there was something even more tragic. Eri you can go eat your dinner if you want now. You don’t have to stay here anymore.” Midoriya hates getting called by his old name which is ‘Izuku or Midoriya’. 

Eri eats her food and Deku sits down and works on training his new ability. The mysterious person goes back to the room where you were in, and sits in the chair. After about 2 hours, everyone is asleep so they leave to go get Eri to wake you up. Eri comes in the room half asleep so her powers will only heal you and not relieve the pain that you are going to feel when you wake up. After she uses her power she sees you move and she runs out the room. Deku takes Eri to his place. He gives her some clothes that he bought for her. She showers and sleeps, she doesn’t get much sleep because she has school in the morning. 

Deku writes a letter to Bakugo and sends it to his apartment. The note said, “Hey Kacchan!! 

How’s life? I heard what happened. I’m sorry. If you want me to tell you who was behind all of it, meet me in the USJ. That’s the best place to have a friendly conversation. Hmm… let’s say in exactly a week. Kk Kacchan see you there!!

Sincerely, your bestie! <3” 

Back with Bakugo, once he got home he read the note and blew it up out of anger. You looked at him like he was crazy but you could still barely talk. Bakugo knew that the doctors said that it would take about a week before you can walk on your own again so he knew something was up with Deku.  Since Deku has been out for his own ‘personal business’ Bakugo seems really suspicious of him. 

You call out for Bakugo because you have to pee then Bakugo gets side tracked from what he was thinking about. “Sorry if you were busy but apparently my body feels like I haven’t fucking pissed in months… Also I was wondering. How long was I unconscious for?”

Bakugo looks at you as he is picking you up from the bed. “We will talk about that after you pee.” Bakugo leads you to the bathroom and closes the door so you can have some privacy. After you were finished he sat you down on the bed. “You were out for a while. So long that I started to worry more and more about you everyday that I took some medicine classes. I did some online college classes and finished about 4 years I think. But to answer your question. You were out for about 6 months. After the 4th month, Hawks and Dabi came to visit. Then I made some friends at the hospital. If they needed help on a surgery and there was no one else available they would call me in. I worked so hard to find a cure to heal you in a less painful way. You were on a ventilator for 6 months and I hated seeing you in that condition. So in the middle of learning about medicine, I came up with a formula that can help you heal, but someone was there…” 

You look at Bakugo with a confused face because he stopped talking for a bit. “I was out for 6 months? But if you had something that could save me then why was I on the verge of death? Who was there? Tell me what happened.” You looked at him and he just looked at the floor disappointed in himself. 

“Well… someone came in and poisoned you. I watched over you the whole time you were out, but I wanted to be respectful so I went out in the hall to talk to Dabi and Hawks and someone slipped in there and injected you and I hate myself for it. I’m so sorry I didn’t protect you like I promised. I’m just sorry I couldn't help you sooner.” As Bakugo was apologizing for things he didn’t do, you reached out and grabbed his hand. 

When you finally get him to make eye contact with you, you slowly pull him in with the little strength you have left in you. You smile as you lay him down in your lap. “I think you tried your best and I believe that what happened to me wasn’t your fault. You shouldn't be apologizing. You should be thankful to yourself that I am still here and breathing. I trust you with my life and I told you that plenty of times before so when I say that I understand everything you are going through.” You begin to cry as you start to pet Bakugo’s hair. “I lost a friend a few years before I met you. I lost the only person that trusted me. He trusted me with everything, his life, his problems, his family, and even his trauma because he knew I understood what he was going through. I know how you are feeling but with that feeling you have a feeling of relief. I am still alive and breathing. And I am forever grateful for that.” You get him to look at you in your eyes, and pull him close to your face. “I love you Katsuki Bakugo. And I want to be with you for the rest of my life.” 

He gently grabs your face and kisses you. “I love you too Y/N. I understand that we are a little young and we don’t have much experience, but… will you marry me?”
