Ch. 13 - Gave Your All But It's Not Enough

Homecoming and Cheryl's dance routine that she mentioned ages ago. Smut, finally.

A week had passed and it was finally the day of the Homecoming game. Toni was beyond excited. Homecoming was a great chance to get amazing photos that the school would love. They would probably get used in the yearbook and hung up in the student union, as well.

Toni was also excited because in a week her and Cheryl were going to the Halestorm and Evanescence concert, and staying at a hotel. Toni was going to use the weekend getaway to ask Cheryl to be her girlfriend.

She had been talking over her plan with her friend group, who were all super supportive. Toni was going to call the hotel she had booked for the weekend and have them decorate the room with rose petals, and place a few dozen roses around the room with candles, and probably something with a bubble bath. Toni hadn't gotten the image of Cheryl's skin against hers out of her head.

The two women had been doing a lot of making out, whenever they were behind closed doors. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Toni hung out in Cheryl's room for at least an hour after classes. Ethel still had class after Cheryl was done with hers, and sometimes she would hang out with her boyfriend.

They were both doing well with stopping before things got too heated, and were more than well aware that they threw the whole 'only hanging out in public' thing out the window after their last date. To their surprise, they had only been caught once, which was at Toni's apartment, by Fangs. They had been making out on the couch when Fangs walked in. He quickly walked past them, making some comment about dental dams.

As always, the gang went to the pregame festivities. Homecoming was extra special since that's when a lot of alumni came back and parents came to visit their kids.

Toni was taking a few photos of the mascot and a few alumni, when she heard someone yelling her name.

"Yo, Toni! Look who I found!" Sweet Pea pushed through the crowd being followed by-

"Mark? Teresa? What are you guys doing here?!" Toni quickly put down her camera, letting it hang from her shoulder, to hug them both.

"Had to come see our kids, didn't we?" Mark smiled.

"We missed you, Toni. You haven't stopped by in a while, unlike your brother." Teresa gave her a playful glare.

"Yeah, yeah. Sweet Pea's the favorite, I know," Toni laughed. She hadn't been over to her foster parents house since the end of summer. She felt bad.

"Pea told us what happened with Laura. We are so sorry, honey. We always told you that you deserved better." Teresa pulled Toni into another hug, and kissed her cheek.

"And he also said you have a new love interest. Where's the cheerleader?" Mark asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

Toni rolled her eyes and glared at her best friend. She looked around for the cheer squad, spotting them doing a pregame routine. "She's the redhead on Fangs' shoulders."

"She's very pretty, Toni. You better not let this one go." Teresa told her.

Toni smiled, turning back to her family. "I don't plan to. I'll try to introduce you guys after the game."

"Looks like you might be introducing them now," Sweet Pea said, nodding towards the cheer squad.

Toni turned around to find Fangs walking over, carrying Cheryl on his back, piggyback style. She quickly lifted her camera to take a photo. Cheryl was laughing, her high ponytail swaying as she shook her head, and Fangs had a huge smile on his face.
