Another few weeks pass and...well... No surprises here, Mum's drinking again.
Not that it bothered me.
Except for the fact that i'd join her just for the Hell of it. And to be honest, i feel like I really connected with her. Only downside is that i'd talk about Cy and smell like booze and cheap perfume.
I began slacking a lot in school as well. Not to mention I didn't have very many mates either. I mean, yeah i talked to a few people but I wouldn't really call them my mates.

"This plan, confined to the debtors's prison in 1811 and then jailed for a year for his part in the great Stock Exchange scandal of 1814. A notable shot- Sia, are you paying attention or is there something more important you would like to share with the class?"

I looked up from my phone in my lap. Not really paying attention. The band seemed loads more active for some reason. Even going on holidays without me. Good for them. Just goes to show even more that they didn't need me.

"Hm? Y-Yeah...I was just. Thinkin'...ehhhmmm...can i go toilet pleas? I really need to go."
A fib, just to skip class of course. I needed to find out more about what was going on. Without putting any attention on myself.

"Hm depends. Who was supportive of the founding at High Wycombe in 1799?"

"Oh...that's easy. Um..."
I blinked. I didn't actually know the answer I held my breath. Maybe i should've been paying attention.
"I-I did know...but I forgot."

"That probably wouldn't of happened if you weren't staring at your phone. You know the rules Miss Niccals. Give it here."

"N-No."
I said, placing my phone in my blazer pocket.
"I'm waiting on a call... From my dad. That's all."

"If it's that important then they'll call the school. Give it here. Come on."

"I said no. I'm not giving it to you. End of."

There were murmurs from across the classroom as I felt myself become more agitated.

"Excuse me?"
My teacher snapped.
"You might be able to get away with that attitude at home but here, we have rules to follow. Now you could give me your phone right now and we can continue with this lesson or you can march your merry self straight to the detention office."

Standing up I glared at her directly. She wasn't my most favorable teacher... Not as laid back as the others. For some reason i always felt like she had it out for me too. All the time.
Of course it wasn't my first time being threatened with detention by her, but this time I wasn't about to let it slide.

"Bite me!"
I snapped at her, earning a gasp of shock from the class.

"Detention office. Now. I'll have a talk the headmaster about your attitude, as well as your mum about this."

"Call them. I don't care. Anymore. If this lecture is more important than my family, then this class isn't worth my time."
Getting up from my seat I walk out of the room, slamming the door behind me. Not that I meant to slam the door, I just needed time to cool down.
I wasn't even sure how or why i got so angry. But I was. I felt like my blood was beginning to boil. Sure enough, as I made my way to the detention room I heard low, familiar growl coming from the corridors. Her again? No. Why? Please, not this again! Why was she here!? Why now!?

There was the sound of slow paces coming my way, the hair on the back of my neck stood on it's ends as I knew exactly who or what it might be.

"UGH! Why can't you just LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADEH!"
Turning around, I kicked an empty rubbish bin by one of the classroom doors, sending it flying towards the corridor, nearly hitting a seventh year who was just minding his own business.
