~Nicole POV~
"Platinum!? My first release went platinum!" I holler while jumping around like a maniac.
"Yes ma'am." Sheila my manager/best friend told me the unbelievable news. "And you will open for Hunter Hayes for the next two years on his his American/European tour."
"Europe!"
"Yes ma'am."
"Stop calling ma'am and hug me!" She hugs me and I keep smiling. "Wait but didn't he just kinda disappear like six months ago?"
"He went on vacation with his dad. They return next week and you can meet him then and you'll have a creative meeting with him and how he wants you to be part of the show and everything."
"I heard he went to rehab." I say as I sit on the couch and put my feet on the coffee table. I begin to flip through a magazine when Sheila corrects me.
"And where'd you hear that?"
"From people..."
"Yeah well he's on vacation and he'll be back next week. Goodness, just because you're almost twenty-one it doesn't mean you're the smartest."
"Hey!" I say in objection as I throw a pillow at her.
"Hey not the hair. Not the hair."
"Oh right. Never the 'perfect' hair. Why do you worry so much about your hair?"
"How long does it take you to do your hair?"
"I wash and brush it. I occasionally curl or straighten it for special occasions."
"Life is a special occasion. And you need to start dressing like it."
"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?"
"Jeans, worn-out tank tops and converse? You could be Hunter's twin not his opening act."
"So? I don't need to impress him."
"He is technically your boss."
"Yeah but...."
"But nothing. Dress nice!"
"Why?" I say whining.
"Cause he obviously likes girls wear all the make and curl their hair and actually give a crap about what they wear. Have you seen his girlfreind?"
"Oh! That reminds me, I also heard he and Libby eloped and are honeymooning Italy."
"Honey mooning?"
"Hey don't judge my vocab!"
"Mhmm... Just be your pretty little self and hopefully he won't hate you."
"You Love me right?"
"Uh... I have to go. See you tomorrow sweetie. Bye!" She grabbed her purse and stalked out of the room.
"You know you Love me! Don't deny it!" And she slammed the door and left me to celebrate the good new by myself.
