Once they were back in the classroom the rest of the Bakusquad tried to ask where they went but Bakugou brushed them off. Mina was especially confused because there had been a dark red patch on the seat of Denki's pants, Bakugou knew what was going on and pointed it out, and he said that Deku forgot things. What things. They went to the bathroom together, they took Bakugou's bag. She sat in her seat mulling things over in her head. Her pen was pressed to her lips and her hear head was tilted to the side, she wasn't listening to anything the teacher said, she couldn't even tell you what subject she was sitting in right now.
"Oh my god. Oh my god." She whispered and covered her mouth. Denki heard her and looked at her with his eyebrows furrowed. She leaned across the aisle and whispered to him "We need to talk after class." She left no room for argument so, Denki nodded in solemn agreement.
By the end of the day – which was only an hour – Denki's mind was reeling. He couldn't help but freak out about what was going to happen and what Mina knew, she just wants to talk he told himself that doesn't mean that she knows anything, she's not dumb but she doesn't know. Does she? No. No, she doesn't. his mind was spiraling. He didn't even hear his name being called out by Mina after the bell went off.
"Denki. Denki. DENKI?" she yelled in his ear and he jumped out of his chair and landed on the floor. He laid on the floor in defeat while she cackled above him. "No need to be so dramatic dude." She said once she caught her breath. She pulled Denki from the floor and began to walk out of the classroom, "I'll walk you home dude, hurry up."
Denki struggled to put all of his belongings into his bag and ran out of the room to meet Mina who had already run ahead to wait at the doors of the building.
"What do you want to talk about Meen?" Denki asked as he pulled on his shoes and hopped along behind Mina. Once he had his shoes on Mina grabbed his hand and pulled him to a more secluded area on campus.
"Are you a girl?" she had a happy grin on her face, like she had just been treated to the best kind of lollies there is. She was too lost in her own world rambling about how happy she was that there was another girl in the class and how she had 'worked it out' to realise how uncomfortable she was making Denki feel. One question in particular made Denki want to throw up, "What's your real name? Because Denki is a boy's name. So, you must have a really cute girly name that I can call you, right."
There it was.
Even after knowing him as a boy for almost three months.
One slip up and she worked it out.
You'll never be a real boy. You can only fake it. Soon enough everyone will know that you're a stupid little girl under all that. You can't be like Kirishima or Bakugou, not like Sero or Iida. You can only fake it.
So why don't you go home and cut.
Cut, cut, cut.
Until you can't anymore.
Go home and let him do those things to you, one last time.
Then we can go to the bathroom and slice, and cut, and jab, and poke until not even your parents can recognise you.
Slice up that pretty skin. Rip apart those tendons. Maybe your Mum has some pills stored under the sink.
Or even better, go up to the roof and jump. A nice little neat swan dive. That's quicker, but you don't want quick.
