She's back

"I'm running out of time"

I look at her wide eyed as she opens her hands for a hug. I run to her and I start crying because she hasn't been home for six years.

"You looks so grown up!" She said with a tear in her eye smiling.

"You do to Jasmine!" I said looking at her smiling. "How have you been?" I said while wiping my tears.

"I've been good, but how have you been I came straight here when I heard the news." She said with a worried look. I knew what news she was talking about.

"I've been good just been tired but I think it's working!" I said in a fake happy tone smiling. I knew it wasn't working I just didn't want to tell her..

Jasmine's POV: When Mia was twelve I had a fight with our parents and I ran out of the house and I haven't spoken to them since or well until I got the phone call..

It was the first time they had ever called me and I was surprised I was so worried what happened and they told me it was heart breaking they told me she wasn't going to be alive very much soon.

As soon as I had gotten off the phone with them I booked a plane back home.

As soon as I stepped on the porch I was hesitant about opening the door but I finally had the guts to.

As soon as I walked in I seen her picking up trash from what seemed like a birthday party. After all these years I said "Are you glad to see me? Sis."

She whipped her head around and looked at me like she had seen a ghost. My lips formed a smile as I opened my arms and she comes running towards them and starts crying and I couldn't help but to cry to.

I missed her.

I asked her how she was and she said the medication had been making her tired but she said she was fine. I didn't believe it after all these years I still know when she lies..

I'm worried about her and I don't think she knows what's going to happen to her..

Mia's POV: We sat down and started talking and we heard the stairs creak so we looked over and seen Theo eating a chicken leg from the party. He stops in his tracks mid bite and just looks over at us.

"Hey Theo come sit with us!" I say as he starts walking over.

"Isn't that the dude who has been your best friend for like eternity?" Jasmine said in a low voice. "Yeah why?" I said also in a low voice.

"Are you together yet?" She said wiggling her eyebrows and smirking.

"No!!" I said in a loud but quiet whisper as my cheeks start blushing. "I don't think he likes me though.." right after I said that Theo sits next to me and stares at Jasmine while eating his chicken leg.

"Hey mystery girl," he said looking at her.

"Do you not remember me?" She said smirking while looking at him.

"Should I..?" He said questioning it.

"It's me Jasmine!" She said smiling looking at him.

"OH! NOW I REMEMBER!" He said as his eyes lit up in a surprised look. "How are you!!" He said while hugging her then sat back down and continued to eat his chicken leg.

"I'm good! It's so glad to see you!" She said smiling at him.

We all started to chat when we heard the door trying to unlock.

As soon as the door opened Jasmine stood tall. Looking at the mystery people.

They all exchange looks and just stayed their for a while before any of them said anything.
