Just One Bite
Was Eve so wrong
For wanting so much
More than a garden
And a man who didn't
Even known how to
Handle a woman
Who wants so much
More from the world
Than just frolicking
And polite tenderness.
She wanted experiences.
Heartbreak and hardship.
The pains and sufferings
Of our ordinary lives.
Is it so wrong -
To crave such modernity.
