One evening In an Alternate Universe:

I walked down the steps of the court and was feeling really tired after an intense legal battle. And just when I was thinking of calling a taxi, a luxurious red car came to stop in front of me. "Do you want a ride baby?" The out-of-the-world handsome guy inside the car asked me in a sexy voice. I burst out laughing.

"What the hell are you doing, Hyun?" I asked him.

He laughed. "Get in. Seems like you need a ride." He said. I got in his car. "Did you wait for me? But why? How much time did you wait?" The trial could have gone for a few more hours.

"It's okay." He said. "I felt like you will be tired. You did not even sleep for the last few weeks because of this trial." That was true. "So how was it?" He asked.

"Really good." I turned to Hyun in excitement, "When the Judge was giving that scum a life sentence in prison I felt so proud of myself. You know a sense of achievement. The thrill of finally getting there. And the victims family also seemed so satisfied with the punishment. And you should have seen the look on Lawyer Lee's face. That was so damn satisfying."

Hyun laughed. "So I guess our Prosecutor Kang got another feather in her hat," He said. I smiled, and in the excitement encircled my hand around his hand on the steering wheel and tilted my head to his shoulder. He looked at me. "It's also because of you, you know." I said.

"What did I do?"

"You let me work all the time and do not complain. Always be the best husband," I looked up at him with love. He smiled. I sat back in my seat.

"But when you came to pick up, I was reminded of our dating time," I said. "You picking me up after college." He used to park the car just outside the main gate of the university and drive up to me when I will be walking out with my friends. And my female friends used to go crazy over him and his car. People around me were so envious of me for dating a celebrity. And more than me, he used to enjoy it. So even when I ask him to not show up at my college, he would and make a big deal of everything like publically give me a flower bouquet or sing for me. That used to be so embarrassing. I was a law student for god's sake. There was a dignity to keep... But I guess, I used to enjoy the attention in a way as well. That's why we got married after five years of dating.

Hyun stopped the car in front of my house and we walked in. Mom was drying some red chillies on a mat in front of the house. She looked up at us when we came in. "Mom, I am hungry," I told her. "There is rice in the kitchen." She said. "Go eat." She said.

I went in and got myself some food and began to eat. But I was unable to hold the chopsticks properly as my wrist was hurting a bit. I flexed my wrist. I had worked too much the last few days. "What happened?" Hyun asked. "Is your wrist hurting again?"

"Hm..." I said. "I had to write too many documents."

"I have told you not to work so much." His voice was lined with concern. "Give me your hand." He took my hand in his hand and began to massage my wrist. It felt soothing. It was helping with the pain. I smiled at him. I was so damn lucky to have him as my husband. Just then Yuri came out of her room, her hair looking messed up as if she has not washed it for a while, or even slept. "Ah... It's getting so cheesy here. Single people can't manage to live watching all these cheesy romances." She complained about us and got a bottle of water from the fridge and disappeared back into her room to work on whatever webtoon she was writing these days.
