Co- parenting Isn't always the easiest of jobs, especially when you only just found out you have a child. How do you adjust so quickly to parenthood whilst also trying to get along with your ex?
I followed Bryce inside whilst I carried Blake on my hip and also holding our diaper bag. He took me through to the living room where I placed the bag down and sat on the couch which blake on my lap.
B: do you want a drink? A: could I just have a glass of water please? B: of course, does little one want anything? A: no she has a drink in my bag but thank you
He walked off to the kitchen and I was left just admiring how big this house was.
A: Blakey do you want to go down? Bl: nwo(no) A: ok
Bryce walked back in with a glass of water.
B: here A: thank you •I say as I took a sip and then placed it on the table in front of me• B: so how have you been? A: I have been good, busy but good! What about you? B: yeah I have been ok, doing a lot of work though. So who is this little Addison? A: •I giggled• this is Blake and you probably guessed she is my daughter. Blakey tell Bryce hi Bl: hiwa (hiya) B: hi Blake, you are so cute
Suddenly we heard chatters as the front door opened
N: hey Bryc- oh hi addison A: hi Noah J: noah who are you talking t-.... Oh addison hey and a mini addison. A: yeah hi J: who is mini Addison then? B: Josh this is Blake, Addison's daughter •he said smiling•
•Josh bends down•
J: hey Blake I'm Josh
Blake got shy and hid into my chest
A: Blake don't be rude say hi to Josh Bl: hii •she said shy• J: who is the father then? B: Josh! Don't be so personal A: uh I don't really feel comfortable telling B: it's fine you don't have to J: I personally thinks she looks like Bryce B: wtf are you talking about she looks nothing like me? J: I see some resemblance •he said walking off• B: don't worry about him, I know she isn't mine he's just an idio- A: Bryce she is yours
What the hell was I thinking I just told Bryce that Blake was his. Now he is gonna hate me. What if he didn't want her?
Bryce POV//

What?!! I have a daughter. I knew ever since mads told me about addison and Blake I had a feeling she was mine. I can't just forget about her I will have to step up and be a dad.
B: w-what?! A: im sorry, if you don't want her it's fine and I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner I just thought you would have moved on and I didn't want to bother you with a baby. B: I'm not mad addison A: you are not? B: no I understand your reasons, I'm happy you told me because I want to be part of her life. A: y-you do? B: yes of course, is that ok? A: yes yes it's more than ok I just didn't think you would want to B: she mine of course I want to A: Bryce your amazing. B: thanks, now tell me everything I need to know about my daughter. A: she's 1 and half, her birthday is February 4th. She loves fruit and baths and is mainly very happy. B: aw she is a lot like you then A: •she blushed• yeah I guess she is B: can I hold her? A: yeah like you said she is yours.
Addison passed Blake to me and my heart immediately melted. She was so adorable. She hugged me and then started playing with my pau chain. It was really like I was holding a mini addison.
B: hi Blake Bl: hi you nwice (nice) A: Blakey this is your daddy B: hewo dada
When Blake said that my heart exploded. I had a daughter and she was perfect. I didn't care if I missed the first year of her life all that matters is right now and I'm never going to let her leave again.
A: you guys are so cute B: addison thank you A: for what B: my daughter, I know I missed her first year but what matters is right now and I am the happiest I have ever been A: Bryce you deserve her as much as me B: can she stay here with me tonight? A: of course I will go back and pack her a bag B: can you stay A: if you want me to? B: yeah I do A: sure if that's ok? B: more than ok A: well I will be back with a bag for us, do you want me to take her with me? B: no she can stay A: okay by Blakey see you later B: bye addi
Blake didn't seem at all phased that her mom was leaving her which made me happy that she felt safe with me already.
Bl: dada me pway(play) with dada B: sure we can play Bl: oyss(toys) B: uh I don't have any, did mommy pack some.
I checked the diaper bag addi left and she did have a few paw patrol figures packed so I got them out and place them on the table.
Bl: dada blwakey (Blakey) dis one •she said holding one is her hand• and dada dis one •she said passing me one• B: oh okay Bl: dada is bwaddie (baddie) B: •I laugh• ok roarrrr
I begin to chase her and the whole room filled with her laughter, I was purely in heaven, her laugh was a smaller version of Addison's and although she looked so much like addi she did have my eyes and dimples. We continued to play for about 20 minutes until I saw Blake start to get sleepy, i didn't know if she was allowed to nap in the day though but i let her sleep on my lap because she was so tired.
Addison POV//
I was so happy Bryce took it well. I wasn't planning on telling him today but it just slipped out. I was on my way back from sway with an overnight bag for me and Blake since Bryce wanted us to stay with him tonight. I left Blake with Bryce just cause I thought it would be nice if they had some time together but I also realised that it was her nap time so hopefully she wasn't too cranky for him. I pulled up at sway and walked inside to see the cutest sight. Bryce had fallen asleep with Blake on his chest and omg my heart melted. I took a quick pic before sitting down next to them and scrolling through Instagram so I didn't wake them.

About 30 minutes passed and Blake started to stir which instantly made Bryce wake up.
B: oh hey when did you get back? A: about 30 minutes ago B: why didn't you wake me? A: because you guys were so cute asleep and Blake needed a nap anyway B: oh great I was worried she didn't nap in the day A: no she does, quite a lot actually B: do y'all wanna go out for dinner? A: sure let me just change Blake's outfit since she got messy B: ok •he passed Blake back to me• Bl: mama A: hi did you have fun with daddy? Bl: yesh, dada bwaddie(baddie) and he fwunny(funny) A: aw I'm glad let's go change quick Bl: otay mama
