Chapter 27

Addison POV//

I was now currently 37 weeks pregnant and my god was I feeling it, with Blake I never made it past 34 weeks so although I was grateful to not have another preemie baby I really was paying for it through constant pain. Bryce was helping me as much as he could by looking after Blake and it made me fall in love even more. But today the back pain and stomach pain was getting so bad, I had a few things I still needed to do but I just had no idea how I was going to.

Bryce: babe?
Addison: yeah baby?
Bryce: I'm taking Blake out for ice cream! Do you want to come?
Addison: no I will be fine at home thanks baby
Bryce: okay well call me if you need anything ok?
Addison: I will don't worry!
Bryce: okay well we are leaving now, love you
Addison: love you more •kisses him•

Blake and Bryce left so now it was just me, my plans for today were finish packing my hospital bag, I had done our baby's one but I still needed to add more to mine. I was sat downstairs on one of our counter stool eating my breakfast and scrolling through Instagram, suddenly I had a big pain come across all of my body. I grabbed my stomach in pain when I felt wetness underneath me. My water had broken...

I had to phone Bryce quickly.

Bryce: hey baby, everything ok?
Addison: Bryce please don't freak out
Bryce: what? What's happening?
Addison: my water broke...
Bryce's: WHAT? Are you being serious? No prank?
Addison: I'm being deadly serious Bryce, our whole counter stool is covered in water
Bryce: okay...uh are you in pain?
Addison: a little bit but not loads
Bryce: Blake and I are on our way
Addison: okay

Bryce POV//

I was out for ice cream with Blake when Addison called me and told me her water broke, not gonna lie I was a little bit freaked out since I have never experienced this before but I trusted Addison to know since she obviously had.

Bryce: Blakey I'm sorry we have to go
Blake: whyyyy?
Bryce: because...

I had no idea how to explain to a 2 years old what was happening.

Bryce: because baby sister is coming
Blake: rweally?
Bryce: yeah so daddy needs to take mommy to the doctors
Blake: otay.. and Blakey?
Bryce: no Blakey is staying with Grandma
Blake: oh •sad•
Bryce: don't be sad. You will have a lot more fun there, it's boring at the doctors. So come on lets get there as soon as possible
Blake: let gooo

She took that a lot better than expected, I got her in the car as we set off back home.

Addison POV//

Bryce had let me know that he was on his way back with Blake, I felt bad to ruin their last bit of time together. I was experiencing some contractions every so often but they weren't as intense as I remembered them being, or maybe my pain tolerance has just gotten better. I was a little bit worried after such a traumatic birth with Blake, but I'm hoping that this baby girl will be a little bit less stubborn. At that moment, Bryce walked in carrying Blake, he seemed very stressed.

Bryce: oh my god!! Are you ok? Are you in pain? Do we need to go to the hospital? Is the baby coming right now?
Addison: Bryce! Babe! Calm the fuck down, I'm fine right now, a few minor pains ever so often but nothing much!
Bryce: wait really? I thought...well I don't know what I thought. I was just worried
Addison: I know and I'm okay right now, just have a breather •giggles•
Blake: mommy!! •grabby hands•
Addison: hey bubba •takes her•
Bryce: should you really be carrying her? •laughs• you are already carrying one baby!
Addison: oh please •laughs• I'm a lot stronger than you think, you know
Bryce: fair enough, anyway what are we doing standing here? You should sit down

We walked over to the couch and everything just seemed really calm considering the circumstances, I thought I would be in a lot more pain by now.

••• time skip: 1 hour later •••

Yeah I spoke too soon because by now I was in so much pain, like very 10 minutes I was getting contractions. I spoke to my midwife and she said wait till they are 5 minutes apart so that shouldn't take too long hopefully. My mom was on her way round to pick up Blake and as for Bryce...well he was very stressed. This was his first time and let's just say he hadn't no idea of what to do. I asked him to put some last minute things in my bag but even that task he was struggling with.

Bryce: babe where did you say your charger was? •yells•
Addison: next to my side of the bed •yells back in pain•
Blake: mommy otay? •concerned•
Addison: I'm okay baby

Bryce POV//

We had just made it to the hospital after a stressful journey, it was 2pm now and this day had just gone. It hasn't sunk in yet that we are having a baby! Addison was at 4 right now so the doctor said there is still a bit more to go, she was coping very well from what I could see.

Bryce: how are you feeling babe?
Addison: I'm okay, the pain relief they gave me is helping
Bryce: that's good

They had given her an IV to help with some of the pain so hopefully it carries on working for her.

••• time skip: 3 hours •••

It was now currently 5pm and I could tell Addison was in a lot of pain, it was finally time for her to push, now was the time she needed me most. Bryce you cannot pass out...

Addison: bryce? •reaches her hand out for him•
Bryce: •takes her hand• you're gonna do great babe...

Addison POV//

A long 30 minutes later, our baby girl was placed onto my chest, this was something out of the whole process that I actually had no idea what was like since with Blake they took her from me straight away. This little girl looked exactly like Blake did except just a little more chunky, Blake was only 4lb, 4oz.

Bryce: she's adorable •strokes her head•
Addison: she looks just like Blake did •smiles•
Bryce: really?
Addison: yeah except Blake was a lot smaller

This little girl was perfect for us in every single way, looking just like Blake. I couldn't be more in love with her.

Bryce POV//

It was now my turn to hold our baby and I'd never held a baby so small, according to Addison she looked just like Blake as a baby but I could see a lot of Blake right now in her.

Bryce: hey princess •kisses her forehand• you look just like your big sister.
Addison: she's staring up at you •admiring them•
Bryce: she's so small, I've never held a baby this small •smiles•
Addison: not as small as Blake was, Blake was the size of my hand, she was 4lb 4oz
Bryce: fuck that is tiny
Addison: Bryce! Little ears around •giggles•
Bryce: she can't hear me •laughs•
Addison: she can hear you •giggles• she just doesn't know what it means
Bryce: exactly then there's no problem •laughs•

I now had 2 princesses to call mine, I was one lucky dad!
