Why am I doing this? Vernon thought to himself as he started to question his life choices that led him to that moment.
He stood in front of Seungkwan's classroom, waiting for him to come out. He took deep breaths to try and gather the courage to ask him to be his partner because a stupid app told him to. He wouldn't have done this if it weren't for that app, he doesn't even know why he's doing it in the first place but there was no going back now.
As soon as he saw Seungkwan come out of the room, he quickly went up to him and grabbed him by the shoulder to get his attention. "Hey furby!"
"Furb- Oh, it's you.." Seungkwan asked his friends to go without him. He then rolled his eyes as he turned to Vernon. "What the fuck do you want? And also stop calling me a furby!"
Vernon only started calling him a furby because he was like one. Small, fluffy and absolutely annoying. "Can't help it, you're like one.. Anyways, I need you to help me with something"
"Fuck off, I'm not helping you" Seungkwan lightly pushed him away and was about to leave but Vernon pulled him back.
"Come on, it's for a project"
"No."
"I'll pay you, just help me"
"Are you deaf, Chwe? I said no! I don't want your money and I also don't want to help you!"
Since Vernon couldn't find anything else to persuade Seungkwan with, he decided to pull out his trump card, "Please?" That's right. A word he thought he'd never say in his whole life.
Seungkwan looked at him, obvious surprise and happiness in his face. He suddenly put on a smug face while putting his hands on his waist. "That's not enough, kneel" He said, confidently.
Vernon sent him glares. He contemplated whether or not he should do it. He didn't want to kneel before Seungkwan but he also didn't want to fail the app's mission.
Goddamnit, Seungkwan, you won this time.
He immediately kneeled down in front of Seungkwan after that thought, he knows his knees would be in pain later but he knows he wouldn't be able to mind it since his literal dignity had shattered.
Everyone around them, including Seungkwan himself, was surprised when he did that. Seungkwan didn't actually think Vernon would do it and intended to tease him into giving up.
"Please!" Vernon continued to plead.
Seungkwan slowly got flustered from all the attention they're getting. "O-Okay! Okay, I'll help you! Geez.. Stand up there" He helped him up, patting the dirt from Vernon's knees away. "What is this project anyways and why the fuck do you need me?"
"I want you to sing my song."
"And? Out of every singer you know.. you chose me? Why is that?"
Vernon couldn't help but sigh, "Because you're better, alright? Now, here. My number, I'll call you once I need you. You said yes already so you can't take it back. I gotta go" He then quickly ran away out of embarrassment after he had just realized what just happened.
Seungkwan stood there, looking at the piece of paper in his hand. He couldn't help but smile, "He's so cute.."
