Don't Say That

Gulf was shocked at Mew's outburst. He hasn't even uttered a single word and Mew was shouting at him already. Did he blame him for everything? That would be understandable given the circumstances.

"Mew, just hear me out. "

"No. I told you not to say anything."

"But Mew I-"

"Don't you dare apologize Gulf."

"Huh?? "

"I know you think it's your fault. Stop blaming yourself. It has nothing to do with you. Whatever Alex did wasn't because of you. I hate it when you apologize for something other people have done. Please, don't apologize."

"Mew, but you almost died."

"And that's Alex fault. He will pay for that. You don't have to beat yourself over this. I knew you would be drowning in guilt right now. Gulf, don't be so nice. I really don't deserve it. Not after what I did. You should be happy that I'm lying here or maybe had I died it would have been bett-"

Gulf threw himself at Mew. He wound his arms around Mew's wait and hugged him tightly. Mew was shocked at the small body hugging him so tightly. He brought his arms around Gulf and patted his shoulders soothingly.

"Don't say that. I never wanted you to get hurt. Yes, I was angry with you and for a brief moment I even hated you but I never wanted you to get hurt. Do you really think I would want you dead? Do I seem so cruel to you?"

Gulf couldn't stop tears from streaming down his face. He didn't want to cry in front of Mew but he felt deep ache in his chest when Mew said that.

"Gulfie, don't cry. I know you are too kind to ever wish harm on anyone. I really hate myself when I remember how I treated you that too for someone like Lhong. It kinda kills me. No matter how many times I apologize it wouldn't be enough. I know that."

"Mew, what you did was wrong but you realized that. At least you know what you did wrong. You have apologized to me hundred times and I finally forgive you. Okay? So don't apologize again to me. Let's put it behind us and tackle the problem ahead. Alex and Lhong need to punished for what they put us through. Let's make them pay. "

The mischievous gleam in Gulf's eyes made Mew chuckle.

"Definitely, so how do you propose we should handle this revenge of ours? "

"I have a plan."
