After Mew was discharged, the first thing he did was take Gulf out for a nice dinner. Gulf had done a lot for him and he deserved to be treated nicely.  He had wanted to make up to Gulf for everything. He thought he would start with a nice dinner.
They were sitting in posh restaurant in a private area.

"Mew, a simple dinner would have been fine. You didn't have to spend so much money." Gulf blushed at the royal treatment he was getting. He wasn't used to it.

"Always the best for my people." Mew smiled. He liked to see Gulf was enjoying his time here.

Gulf was flustered when Mew said my people. Mew considered very few people as his, like a family. He had never thought Mew would regard him as such. He had long since lost the hope of becoming someone important to Mew. Maybe it wasn't too late. Maybe he could be at least a good friend if nothing more. He would be happy with that too. He wasn't greedy when it came to Mew. He hadn't forgotten what had transpired between them in the hospital. Was it just Mew being vulnerable? Had Gulf taken advantage of him? Did Mew like him? He wasn't sure but damn, if he wanted it so badly. The thought of last night was making him blush redder. The way they had kissed and-

"Blushing, are you Gulfie?" Mew teased.

"Why do you call me that?" Gulf whined.

"Just because."

"Tell me, phi. "

"What would you like me to call you? I have vast array of endearments if you are willing to choose. I could go along with honey, dear, darling, sweetheart, babe, my prince, lov-"

Gulf whined louder at the nicknames. They made his heart beat faster. "Stop Mew. Don't tease me. Why would you call me all that? "

"Why indeed. So what do you want to order?"

"It's all so expensive. I think-"

"Order whatever you want. It's my treat."

"Okay, I hope you don't regret saying that."

Gulf ordered quite a feast. Mew stared at him gobble down food. He liked watching Gulf eat.

"Slowly Gulf. No need to rush. We have all the time in the world. "

After dinner they went for a stroll. Gulf could feel his heart beating quickly. He felt nervous around Mew now. Like he didn't know how he should act, definitely not after yesterday. Should he talk about the kiss? More like make out. It wasn't just a kiss. Should he bring it up now? They would have to talk about it sooner or later. They couldn't ignore it forever. They'll have to deal with it eventually. Gulf hoped it wouldn't ruin everything between them. If not lovers, they could be at least friends. He would hate to lose Mew after all this. They had grown closer and he hated to admit it but he had fallen deeper for Mew. He couldn't help himself. Maybe he shouldn't be getting deeper in this. Mew just broke up with his boyfriend and it wasn't a clean breakup either.

Mew was vulnerable at the moment. He was going through lots of stuff and Gulf didn't want to stress him further.
He didn't know what had possessed him yesterday. He had completely lost control when Mew had stared at him with so much emotions. He wanted to comfort him and before he knew they were kissing. It was hard to stop after that. He was in daze, all he could think and feel was Mew. It's not like Gulf had never kissed before but Mew made him feel things that he hadn't even thought of.

"Gulf, I have something important to tell you. "

"What?"

"I don't need an answer yet. You can take time to think about it. I won't rush you. We have been through a lot these past few months. But still give this a consideration." Mew turned serious.

"What is it?" Gulf asked apprehensive.

"Gulf, you have been by my side in worst of my time and I'm so grateful for that. More than that I think I am fall-"

Mew was interrupted by a man who was walking towards them with a big smile on his face and calling Gulf's name. He hugged Gulf tightly and whispered something in his ear and Gulf laughed at that. Mew didn't know who the guy was but he could feel his irritation rising. He hated being interrupted, now more than ever. He was about to say something very important. He had finally gathered enough courage and he was interrupted so rudely by this man who was clinging to his Gulf.

"Oh sorry Mew. This is my best friend, Fiat." Gulf made the introduction.

"I thought Mild was your best friend." Mew said sullenly.

"He is but so is Fiat. We are more like a trio." Gulf was practically beaming. He was so happy to see Fiat here. He had missed him so much. They didn't get to meet a lot these days because of Fiat having shifted to another city. He had been feeling lonely without his best friend by his side. Mew couldn't help but feel left out as Gulf and Fiat reminisced about their past. He wanted to talk to Gulf about something important and this guy was being annoying by hogging Gulf's attention.

"Gulf, I wanted to talk to you about something." Mew tried again.

"Mew, can we talk later. I want to catch up with Fiat." Gulf pouted.

"Sure." Mew said through gritted teeth. God, would Gulf get angry if he punched his best friend? Maybe he should risk it.

"Gulf, let's go to your apartment. I have something to show you. I bet you will love it." Fiat winked at Gulf.

'What the Hell' Mew thought as he watched them get into taxi and leave. Did he hear it right? What did Fiat mean by that? His expression looked mean. Why did Gulf leave him the moment Fiat showed up? It irked him a lot.
