As Ibuki laid in her bed, one question raced through her head:
"Do I really like Ayanokouji?"
It's a question she had been pondering since the Ichinose encounter. She knew what she began dating him for, but didn't know how she felt at the moment.
The practices and the small dates were fun and all, but it still didn't change her opinion to the point where she was love sick.
So there she lay, that question still going through her head.
This feeling of possession of him that she had was...unnatural, almost like she was becoming a different person. It was scary, but welcoming at the same time.
"Ugh!" she exclaimed, plopping her feet on the bed once again. Her arms were spread wide, and she held her phone up to her face. Looking through the texts, you can slowly see her behavior changing more and more, to the point where anybody would think she liked him.
The situation was so complicated, yet when they met in person it seemed like this web of lies wasn't there. It was just them two, in their own world.
Ibuki looked over at the window. It was the dead of night, and here she was, thinking about a boy she supposedly doesn't care about.
She stared out of the window, and saw an owl hooting at the top of its lungs. Ibuki sat there, and watched it make noise that sounded like music to her ears. "Ahh, I love wildlife." she said, walking up to the windowsill.
"Hey, what do you think I should do?" Ibuki asked the animal. It made some noise and moved it's head, but Ibuki felt like she knew exactly what it was saying.
The owl really helped her relax, and look back on what she's done with him. After a while of thinking, she slammed her hands down on the windowsill.
"I hate to admit it, but...I'm in love with that guy." she said, her own voice disgusting her. She couldn't believe her standards had dipped so low, but it is what it is.
But what now? Ichinose was still on the hunt for him, despite the odds not being in her favor. She was going to fight for him, no matter what.
To Ibuki's knowledge, this would be a war between the two girls, over a prize that Ibuki didn't even know she wanted. It was quite the mess, but it'd still have to be done.
"I declare war, Ichinose...!" Ibuki yelled into the night sky.
"God that was terrible," Ibuki said, cringing at herself.

Ibuki woke up, her mind now clear and set on one goal. She sprung out of bed, her body feeling light despite her just waking up. Her feet lightly tapped the floor as she went from room to room, trying to get ready as fast as she could.
Eventually, after 5 minutes of running softly, she was ready to begin her mission:
Keep Ayanokouji Away From Ichinose or K.A.A.F.I for short.
This plan was a long process, but ultimately it'd give her what she wanted. But for now, she needed to figure out whether he was truly interested in her. Ibuki brought out her phone, and began texting him.
[Hey, good morning.]
[Good morning. What's up?]
Ibuki thought of what she'd do next. A date would feel a bit too generic, but knowing him even a bit, that'd be just fine. She chuckled at her own humor.
[Nothing much, was just wondering if you'd like to hang out. Not like a date, just chilling in the dorms.]
[Uh sure, I'll come over later. I'm cleaning up my house right now.]
[Alright, call me when you're on your way here.]
Ibuki hung up, and placed her phone on the wood counter beside her.

It was now around 12:26 PM, and Ibuki was still waiting for Ayanokouji to come over. He had been "cleaning his room" for about 4 hours now, and Ibuki was starting to get worried. Had he died, gotten kidnapped? Or even worse...
Ichinose got to him?!
Ibuki took a deep breath, and calmed down for a bit. It was fine, maybe he has a reason.
'Let me check my phone, maybe he texted me.' Ibuki thought, grabbing her phone off of the couch she was sitting on.
What she saw next shocked her. She opened her phone to about 14 text messages, all over a 2 hour period. All from Ayanokouji.
Most of them consisted of him asking to be let in, one being as recent as 2 minutes ago. Ibuki bolted to the door, and opened it.
"Yo."
"H-Hey, Ayanokouji. How long have you been standing there?" Ibuki asked. "About 2 hours. Why?" she facepalmed, and just let him in. Ayanokouji took a seat on the couch, not a single mark of irritation on his face.
"So you waited 2 hours at my door...just to see me?" Ibuki asked. "Yep." he quickly responded. "You're gonna get called a creep out there! Don't ever do that again, okay?" she exclaimed, closing the door behind her.
"Okay, I got it," Ayanokouji said, holding his hands up in defeat. Ibuki sighed to herself, and got some tea. "Would you like something to drink? I've got soda, coffee, tea..." she said, opening a cabinent.
"Tea, please." Ayanokouji said, turning on the TV. Nothing was on except golf, which Ayanokouji found somewhat calming.
After a few minutes of waiting, Ibuki had finally prepared the tea. She brought it over to the small wood table and set it down. "Enjoy!" she exclaimed, smiling. Ibuki had also got some tea, but not for drinking, no. It was a distraction.
Secretly, Ibuki was going to ask the big question to Ayanokouji, on whether he liked her or not. The tea would just be a way to calm him down, and then catch him off guard when he's comfortable. It was the perfect plan, at least in her head.
After a few minutes of tea drinking and conversation, Ibuki was ready. She took a deep breath, and said:
"Ayanokouji, why do you like me?"

"...Hm?"
