Chapter 5

"Aloha, comrades!", Childe called out immediately as soon as he entered the twins' apartment after knocking twice.

"Childe? Do we have a study gathering or something?", Aether asked him with a confused expression from the living room.

"No, I was just bored of studying alone", he answered and put down some bags containing snacks. He looked around the room and asked, "where's Lumi?"

Aether nodded towards her room and told him, "she is on call with Dain" and returned to his game.

Childe walked to her room and knocked twice before entering. He found her back facing him and Dain on the computer screen seemingly on a ship. Dain immediately saw him and gave him a threatened stare.

Then, Lumine noticed him from the camera view and smiled at him, "hey, Childe!" before asking him with a confused tone, "Do we have a study gathering or something?"

"Geez, Oujo-chan, you are just like Aether. Can't I visit my best friend without reason?", he fake-pouted at her.

She laughed playfully and said, "humm, let me guess you got bored."

"You caught me", he smirked at her and walked near towards her.

"Well, come say hi to Dain", she waved at him.

The two men grimaced at each other and greeted in monotone, "Child" "Sleigh". She just giggled at their nicknames silently.

He turned to her, "you are done talking, right? let's go play games with Aether", and nudged her. He can hear Dain's snort from the screen.

"Entering a lady's room without getting a confirmed answer. Visiting other people's place to play games when the finals are close", Dain gave him a scolding glare. He returned the glare with the same intensity.

Before they could fight, Lumine quickly interrupted with a pleading face, "well, Dain. I will call you back later, ok? I want to get some snack."

Dain sighed, "sure, princess. Take care and tell Aether to play less games."

"Will do, Dain. Safe travels. See ya!", she waved at the screen with a flawless smile.

Childe got a lightbulb moment and smirked at the camera, "yeah, Sleigh, see ya. Hey! By the way, do you know that I'm from Snezhnaya?"

Lumine immediately turned to him with a blush. 'Don't tell me that he's gonna-'

"Hey, Childe-"

"Oujo-chan, I haven't given you my greeting for today, right?", he gave her a playful smile and leaned in.

He gave a peck on her blushing left cheek. He moved away to admire her blushing expression for a moment and spoke in a soft tone that always robbed her breath, "good afternoon, Oujo-chan."

She was speechless and blushing. 'Good afternoon, my butt! I know he had been greeting me with a kiss on cheek for a week now but he never did this in front of anyone before. And, how dare he speak with that tone?'

He finally turned to the screen and found that Dain looking like he would come murder him now if he could. "Oh, the screen is still open. Bye, Sleigh", he spoke with a smug expression and shut the computer.

Lumine gave a cute pout and said, "how am I going to explain that?"

"What? I told him that I'm from Snezhnaya, didn't I?, he smiled and pulled her cheeks with a content expression.

She heard incoming message sounds from her phone and groaned, "arghhh". She slapped his hands away, "I am not dealing with his scolding now" and walked out of her room with Childe following her behind.
