It has been almost a year since Childe and Lumine confessed to each other. It's been a quite tiring year for both of them. They were not able to see each as much as they did in college days. Of course, Childe being a clingy lover, he flew to Mondstadt every weekends just to meet her in first few months but his parents had to stop him since he was always so fatigued from flight that he couldn't focus in his work on Mondays.

They could only see each other via videocalls. Someday, their schedules would collide with another's and they would have to skip calls for that day. Childe had gotten sick of kissing Lumine through screen, hearing her voice from speakers, missing her everything so much that he worked extra hard to prove himself worthy of managing a branch flawlessly. He finally managed to convince his parents and transferred to Liyue branch. He got a new apartment in Liyue harbor.

Lumine and Aether worked under Dain at their parents' tours and travels. Aether moved out to live together with Amber. Lumine stayed with her parents' place for convenient transportation. After Childe had moved to Liyue, she spent her free days at his place. Since she is a beginner tour guide, she had to go different places to learn more but she mostly chose Liyue tours so that she could meet Childe there.

Currently, Lumine got a rare day-off so she visited Liyue to spend her holidays with Childe.

"So, you are saying that you two have not met each other for a month?", Keqing asked Lumine after she had sipped her coffee.

"Yeah, that's why, I wanted to surprise him", Lumine nodded with a smile as she bit into her sandwich.

"And, why this cafe?", Keqing tilted her head.

"He mentioned that he always stops by here to get food", Lumine answered with a smile.

"Ahh, so the real reason why you invited me today is just to have someone to talk to while waiting for him? I get it", Keqing fake-cried behind her hands.

"Jeez, of course, I invited you out because we haven't seen each other for a while and I wanted to catch up with you face-to-face. Stop with your crocodile tears, missy", Lumine laughed at her friend's acting and threw her handkerchief at her.

Keqing caught the handkerchief and shot another question, "and the grocery bags?"

Lumine grinned, "I wanted to prepare a meal for him. It has been a while since he had eaten my dishes and I learnt a new recipe from my last tour in Inazuma. I even practiced it a few times at home so but I hope he will like it."

Keqing was about to say something but stopped when she saw someone outside, she smirked with a teasing tone, "right on time."

Lumine immediately brightened up and looked outside to see Childe and two of his co-workers, one male and one female.

The three of them entered the café without noticing the two girls who were sitting on the window seats at the corner. Granted, the café was a little crowded even on Thursday evening.

The three of them went to the counter and queued the line to make their orders. They were busy talking among each other that they didn't bother to look around the place.

Childe looked dazzling in his deep blue suit though he had already loosened his tie. His ginger hair looked messy, he probably ran his fingers through hair while working on something brainstorming. His sea blue eyes were tired but still contained some energy. Lumine's smile deepened when she noticed that he was using a messenger bag that she bought for him as a birthday present.

"So, are you just going to stare at him like a stalker? Are you are not going to call him?", Keqing nudged her.

"Shhh, I am recharging my battery", she waved her off.
