The next day I woke up and walked out into the livingroom. JJ was sleeping on the pullout which ment Pope went home and y/n was either home or she fell asleep somewhere else.
"Yo JJ have you been outside?"
"No bro, I have polio I cant walk"He joked which made me roll my eyes.
I walked out on the porch to see Y/n sitting on the small sofa with a red solo cup in hand.
"oh,hey"I said
"You donʻt sound too happy to see me"She smiled then looked over the rail.
"Agatha did some damage huh?"
I nodded.
The door flung open behund me and JJ popped out
"What you thinkin?"He asked looking at me
"Im thinkin the storm surge pushed the crabs into the Marsh Maze"I replied
"Wasn't the DCS today"Y/n asked softly
"Yeah,but they arent gonna get on a ferry"
"Think about it.God is telling us to fish"JJ looked between Y/n and I.
Y/n nodded and stood up.She downed the drink in her hand .
"Easy y/n...its 9am...."I said
She shrugged.
"Be on the boat in ten" She as she walked back into the Chateau.
"We gotta go pick up pope"JJ mentioned untieing the boat.
We started to drive around the bay area.We passed a dock with a few people cleaning up from the storm.
"Uh good morning " JJ called out
The man waved back but the younger women shot us a look.
"She totally looked at me" JJsaid looking over to y/n
"Im sure she did "Y/n replied laughing
We pulled up to Heywards and found Pope cleaning fish.
"Yo pope"Y/n called out
"Hey y/n...."
"We have a saftey meeting attendance mandatory"I said slowing down the boat
"I cant, Popʻs got me on lockdown"
JJ put his hand over his mouth and pretened to make a walkie talki static.
"Your dads a pussy over"
"I heard that you little bastard"His dad said walking up behind pope
"Hey Mr.Heyward" Y/n called out
She was his favorite.
"Hey y/n"
"I promise weʻll get him back safe and sound at a reasonable time...."She called out again
"Sorry, but heʻs got work to do"He replied
"Day after a huricaneʻs a free day"JJ yelled out
"yeah who made that rule"He asked
"Uh Pentagon,I have a card"
"Pope"Y/n whispered catching his attention
"Get on the boat..."She continued
Pope dropped his hose and hopped on the boat.
"Get back here"His dad called
"I promise iʻll do it tomorrow"
"The hell you will.Youʻll clean fish ,and shrimp ,and your dirty ass room."His dad called out as we drove out of the bay.
We started driving into the marsh.
"hey Y/n wanna see a party trick"JJ asked trying to impress her.
She rolled her eyes.
"Pope speed up a lil bit"He said standing on the back of the boat.
He held a bottle of beer in one hand and remained balenced.Pope began to speed up.
"weʻve tried this a thousand times"I reminded
JJ tipped the beer back and tried to catch it in his mouth. It ended up splashing everywhere.
"Really JJ, its getting all over me."She stood up hoping the beer wouldnʻt continue to spray in her path.
"JJ stop"I comanded
Suddenly the boat came to a sudden stop and JJ went flying overboard. Y/n fell on the floor,while Pope remained at the wheel.
"Shit,are you okay"I asked her
She nodded pulling herself up.
I held placed my hand on her face and moved her head around checking to see if she was hurt.
"I'm fine"She laughed pushing my hand away
"JJ"She asked
"Yeah, I think my heels touched my head."He said out of breath.
"What the hell happened ,Pope"JJ complained coming back aboard.
"Channel changed from the storm"He replied
"No shit"Y/n said fixing her hair
"Yo guys, I think there is a boat down there"Pope said looking towards the front of the boat
"What no way"y/n said also looking over.
I walked up behind her placing my hand on her lower back
(mans just shooting his shot)
"Holy shit JJ yelled taking off his sunglasses
"Thats the same boat I saw when we surfed the surge"I told
ʻOne of those goes for 500Gs easily"JJ said
"You surfed the surge"Y/n asked turning her head towards me.
I shrugged.
"Wait whose boat is it"Pope questioned
"Only one way to find out"I walked over to the side of the boat.
"No way bro its too deep"JJ reminded
"Only for the week and feeble"I replied
"Well im not resesuscitating you"
"JJ shut up.Dont wory John B If you drown then I will no mater what that idiot says"She rolled her eyes
Okay,I might purposely drown now.

"Yep"JJ replied shoving me into the water
