Part 6

We got on Popes boat after John B got the tanks and we drove out to where the wreck was yesterday.

"This ones empty, you took empty tanks"Pope asked.

John B shrugged.

"Okay this ones a quarter filled...enough for one of us."Pope continued

"Does anyone know how to dive"I asked

"Uh I read about it"

"Oh great Pope read about, it so someones gonna die"I sighed

"Look y-you put that thing in your mouth,and breathe how hard could it be?"JJ asked

"If you come up too fast you could get the bends"Pope mentioned

"Bends like bend over?"JJ asked bending over

"The bends kill you"I said seriously.

"Right"JJ said

"I can dive"John B said

"Since when"I asked obviously not believing him.

"Im cool with that"JJ said

"Ill do it,its fine"

"Okay that boat is about 30 feet down so it'll take 25 minutes at that depth which means you gotta make your saftey stop at 10 alright? For two minutes"Pope explained

"Yeah yeah ten feet, two minuets"John B agreed

"Okay you need to make sure you have enough air to decompress"Pope told

"Think zen"JJ recommended

"Yeah,got it"Jb replied

"If we get caught in the marsh were screwed,so get a move on"Pope rushed

"Diver down?"Pope asked

"Diver down"John B repeated

"See ya dude"JJ pushed him in once again.

After a few moments we heard police sirens approaching. A police patrol boat stopped near us.

"Shit its the police just act frickin normal"I said sitting at the driver seat of the boat.

"Evening officers "JJ greeted

"Here"The officer said throwing his rope on our boat.

"JJ tie him on"

"How you kids doing? You know the marsh is closed?"He asked

"No, we didnt know that, why is it closed"JJ asked

"A boat went down,we're conducting a search"He looked at me."seen anything"

"Nope, no boats"Pope assured

"Where's your little friend you always hang out with? He here"

"He's working"I lied

"Hm im gonna check out your little boat"

"Uh,yeah,hop on"

The deputy stepped from his boat to ours.

He looked at the life vest.

"You got annother one?"He asked

"Yeah,two more down here,JJ show him"He said pointing to the compartment on the floor of the boat.

"Careful you dont want to slip"Pope said cautiously

"Beautiful day"The deputy said looking down at the water theough his sunglasses.

"Sure is"JJ said

"Let us know if you see anything on your way out"

"Will do"I said

"We'll leave right away "

"Yes you will" He said getting back on his boat and driving away"

"He's definitely out of air"I said peering over the edge.

He popped his head up and started breathing profusely.

"Oh god jesus christ"Pope jumped

"Dont scare us like that Man"JJ said
"Did you find anything"He continued

"Did I find anything"John B said holding up a small bag.

"Thats my boy"JJ cheered

I helped John B onto the boat

"You okay"I asked while he caught his breath

"Yeah I ran out of air"He replied

"You scared the shit out of me, the cops were here"I said

"My bad"He shrugged

"Hey guys,bogey 2 o'clock "Pope yelled

"What are they doing in the marsh? Its closed"I asked

"I dont know but id rather not stick around to find out"JJ replied

"JJ get the bowline"Pope yelled

"Yeah"He replied getting the bowline

"Are they coming for us?"John B asked

"Maybe their fishing"Pope suggested

"Lets go"I rushed

"Were going"Pope replied

"Guys their following us"I yelled

"Dude you gotta go faster"JJ rushed Pope

"What the-"I said as one of them pulled out a shot gun and pointed it at our boat.

"Y/n get down"John B yelled pulling me down.

"Were gonna die"Pope yelled as he tried to steer the boat while ducking.

I looked past John B and saw a fish net drying on the back of the boat. I crawled around John B over to the other side of the boat

"Y/n what are you doing your gonna get shot"John B yelled

I Ignored him and picked up the net throwing it into the water. It got caught in their engine which stopped their boat.

"Wooh"JJ yelled standing up

"Yeah"Pope cheered since we lost them
