CHAPTER 2: Preparing For Tomorrow
"Please wake up, Princess Kathryn, Kateryn, and Katelyn!" Kathleen stated as she opened the door to the Princesses' Room.
"Our school's first day is tomorrow! Queen Katharine has given me the order to wake you all up so that we can prepare for tomorrow. Queen Katharine and the maids prepared delicious meals for us. So, get up right now!"
The three stood up and made their way to the dining room.
"Good day, my lovely princesses! Before you can prepare for tomorrow, your stomach needs to be healthy. I know you're all very excited! So join me for breakfast."Queen Katharine greeted them warmly.
"Um... Queen Katharine, can we bring our sticky notes to school?" Kateryn questioned.
"And our, uh, swords as well?" Kathryn inquired.
"You are welcome to bring your sticky notes. Swords, on the other hand, are not permitted to be brought to school for fear of injuring others." Queen Katharine elaborated.
"Please accept my apologies, Queen Katharine." Kathryn expressed her guilt.
"It's fine; you now know it's wrong. After breakfast, you'll go to your rooms with the maids and put your school supplies in your bag, and then we'll surprise you." Queen Katharine elaborated.
Four maids escorted them to their rooms after they finished eating.
They began putting their merchandise in their school bags.
Everyone is thrilled about their new high school!
After everyone had finally completed, maids led them to the 'Princess Room' for a 30-minute break.
"Did you guys consider why they gave us so much time just to take a break?" Kathryn inquired, hoping for a response.
"I believe they were planning a surprise for us," Kateryn explained.
"Oh, yes, you are correct. You have a good point." Kathryn concurred.
"But I'm dying to know what the surprise is," Kathleen stated the following.
"I don't know what I'd do with that, but it sounds great!" said Katelyn.
"Perhaps they'll give us more items," Kathryn suggested something.
The other three nodded in agreement.
They conversed for 5 minutes before King Haris opened the door.
"Did you finish your break, my daughters?" King Haris inquired.
"Yes, King Haris, but it's only 5minutes after they gave us a 15-minute break for no particular reason. King Haris, are you here to call us?" Kathleen responded politely.
"Yes, I'm referring to you as four. Princess Kathleen, you are incredibly clever." With a beaming smile, the king said.
"Of course, she was brought into the world from me!" Queen Katharine added her voice to their joyful conversation.
"At least, that's how Queen Katharine and Princess Kathleen think," Kathryn stated proudly.
"And talk!" Katelyn exclaimed, causing them to spring up in laughter.
"What about the last 25 minutes of our break?" Kateryn inquired.
"We just said it's 30 minutes, so you have time to talk to yourselves without worrying that the time is running out. And the surprise doesn't need any more time. In fact, we finished it in a matter of minutes!" Queen Katharine elaborated.
"So accompany us to the King and Queen's Throne." King Haris finished.
The six went to the designated location.
They noticed the royal mistresses as they entered the room.
"Good day, Princesses!" According to the mistresses.
"Oh, you're the one who arranged the surprise for us?" Kathleen inquired.
"Yes, Princess Kathleen," she explained, "this is a surprise inspection of your bags so that we can verify if you carried anything suspicious to your school."
Kathleen was told that she had to show her bag first.
After a few moments, they declared, "It's Clear."
The other three then presented their bags one by one.
They smiled and spoke after they had double-checked everything: "All of the Princesses' bags were checked, and nothing suspicious was discovered. We're glad, King Haris and Queen Katharine."
"Thank you for helping us in suspecting their bags." Queen Katharine expressed her concern.
"Queen Katharine, you're always welcome." According to the mistresses.
"It was already 12 p.m.; why don't you join us for lunch?" While checking his wristwatch, King Haris made a suggestion.
"It was a great honor to dine with such great royal leaders. However, if you wish, King Haris, we will follow it. Thank you a lot!" They expressed their gratitude.
They ate lunch in the "Guests' Dining Room" with the princesses.
The princesses were hungry. They were even given an extra cup of rice!
The mistresses waved goodbye to the princesses after everyone had finished their meals.
"Your Majesty, thank you for the delicious food you prepared."They expressed gratitude.
"You're very welcome. This time, you can return to your rooms." The Queen replied.
"If you're done, go to the 'Swords and Bowstraining room' to take your final training this year, because you'll now start going to school every day, except Saturday and Sunday," she said after a brief pause.
"You will take a 20-minute break after returning home before beginning work on your school projects and homework. Then you'll take a1–2-hour nap to refresh your mind. Then, when you wake up, you can do whatever you want. I'll only say it once, and I hope you get it." The Queenelaborated.
"Thank you very much, Queen Katharine." According to princess Kateryn.
They were all smiling.
They finished their meal and proceeded to the training area.
"So, this is our final training," Kathleen described.
"Yes, and I will give my best in sword fighting, don't we, Kateryn?" Katelyn responded.
"Yes, I'll do my best in sword fighting as well, because bows are my favorite!" Kateryn explained.
"Me too!" Kathleen and Kathryn both stated.
"All right, let's go get the swords," Kathleen stated the following.
They all tried to give it their all and were skilled with swords and bows.
"I can't believe I'm able to aim that arrow so accurately!" Kathleen stated the following.
"And I'm not good with swords!" Kateryn said.
"Of course, we gave it our all!" Katelyn exclaimed happily.
They all grinned at each other, unable to believe they had accomplished such an accomplishment.
"Come on, let's go to the garden and pick some flowers!" Kathryn addressed them.
They chose the flowers and presented them to Queen Katharine.
"These flowers are fresh; thank you for your effort!" Queen Katharine muttered a little something.
They returned to their rooms and rearranged their personal items.
After about an hour or so, they went to the Princesses' Room to talk (again) until dinner time.
For dinner, they are delicious fare.
They returned to the Princesses' Room (again?) after dinner, and Queen Katharine continued her story, which caused the Princesses to fall asleep.
