You were sitting on a bridge, gazing quietly in the vast blue ocean. The only sound filling your ears is the serene waves down below and the cars passing by.

It was completely peaceful. If only her life was like this, peaceful and free without any chaos and pain.

You sneered at the thought. You don't have any expectations for the future, nor do you expect it to be so peaceful because you were associated with a certain person who will bring nothing to your life but damnation.

You open your mouth, intending to sing something but you paused midway, your mind telling you not to disturb your own silence that much. So you close your mouth shut and choose another different approach—you started humming.

Along with you humming the calm melody of a nursery rhyme, the wind blows, making your black trench coat flutter with the wind. Your hair also swayed with the harsh wind, revealing the golden embroidery behind your back.

"How strange." You whispered to yourself, raising an eyebrow at the ocean when you hear a set of footsteps within your silence.

Delight and hatred overlapped within your eyes when the footsteps stopped a few steps away.

"You visiting me or somethin'? I don't really appreciate any kind of company right now. " You said without turning around.

A chuckled followed from the other person followed your words, "It's not like you like me accompanying you anyway. I've been looking for you for a while, didn't expect you'll appear so openly in here without warning. Should've get you a present but I'm in a rush, you know?"

You didn't say anything while the emotions in your eyes slowly subsided, leaving only a serene expression. "How about you give me a blue rose later? I reckon you're a big shot now...you don't mind making a tomb for me, yeah?"

The words that left your mouth completely brought silence in your surroundings. It's like everything stayed still for a while before the person behind you abolish the distance between the both of you.

You felt a pair of strong yet lanky arms embracing you from behind, a chin resting on your head and a defeated sigh.

"What're you doing?" a frown made an appearance on your face, but you made no movement to remove push him away.

"Giving you a hug, of course." The man knew you were frowning without looking, thus that familiar chuckle reach your ears. "I'm trying to make you feel better. Look, you have the frown that you always have back then on your face right now."

"Making me frown ain't a sign that I'm better, you zombie. Am I supposed to thank you?"

"Nah, just...give yourself a time to think." He muttered quietly.

This was a rare sight for you, knowing this man have been hell bent on being your lackey but he, by fate or chance, became one of your enemy.

You felt the arms around you tighten, and before you could tell what's happening, your body was already carried up to face the other side. You're eyes met a pair of piercing gold ones, gazing at you with a face of seriousness that you've never seen before.

"Don't die."

"..." You're mind blanked out at his words. It was hard to tell whether you manage to properly process his words or it just brought you into a spiral of confusion.

Your enemy just told you not to die?

A cackle escaped your lips, the sadistic grin that's always on your face when you were in those exciting expeditions back then slowly appeared on your face.

"You wanna repeat that?"

Disregarding that sadistic grin that indicates your bloodlust and the negative emotion brewing in the depth of your eyes, he raised his hand and without another word.....

he make a mess out of your hair.

"Look at you, you look cute, Angel Paradox."

The familiar nickname made you laugh, as you grabbed his hand and take it off of you, your hand swatting his own.

"If I didn't know any better, I would think you have a crush on me or somethin'."

"Hell nah." He immediately answered, causing you to chuckle.

You smiled at him brightly, and with a simple kick directed at his stomach which caused him to stumble a few feets away, you stood up in the railing of the bridge.

Under his widen eyes, you open your arms and yelled.

"Let's have fun!"

You watched as he started running towards you, and you falling figure fastly falls. You smiled at the desperation in his eyes, desperation to keep you alive.

His outreach hand failed to grasp your clothes, thus you fall into the ocean.

You knew he wouldn't save you, there's no way. If he does...his life along with his family...would fall into danger.
