The Kim's

Part Five

As Jin kissed Jungkook his eyes slightly opened and he had an immediate reaction to seeing someone other than his husband. And he pushes Jungkook away, stunning him.

He then feels terrible seeing his shocked and confused face. So he covers his face in shame. He starts to apologize profusely in between sobs.

"I'm so sorry.. I'm really, really sorry... I'm just.. fuck.. I don't know what I was thinking. I shouldn't have kissed you. I'm so sorry."

Jungkook moves closer to hug him and lets him cry on his shoulder. He is disappointed that he was pushed away. But has hopes that he will eventually break down his walls.

"Hey, you don't need to apologize for anything. Ok. I took a chance, a foolish chance and followed my instincts. It's my fault, knowing you are not ready for anything."

Jin grabs onto Jungkook's shoulders and continues to cry.

"I just feel terrible because I allowed myself to kiss you. Cause I was really enjoying myself with you. But when I opened my eyes it was just jarring to see someone who was not my husband.

He has been the only man in my life and it's just...
It's just unbelievable that I am not kissing him anymore. God... I'm so pathetic."

"Stop that, you are not pathetic. You are just a someone who has had his heart broken and his life upended. Nobody expects you to just get over something like that so easily."

He moves away from Jungkook and sniffles.

"He did it.. he was able to just sleep with someone else without giving me a second thought.

Am I that uninteresting? He was always complaining about our boring life and routine sex life. Maybe I am boring."

Jungkook holds him by his wide shoulders and tells him bluntly, "Are you crazy?! You are the most exciting and amazing person I have met in, probably ever.

Do not ever think that you did something wrong in your marriage. If there was a problem, it was on his part. And he was stupid to think he could ever find anyone else who could take your place.

I am 100% sure that he is kicking himself ever since he's lost you because he finally realized what a precious jewel he had in his possession.

Why do you think I can't keep my distance from you? I am just drawn to you and I don't want to stay away. I won't lie, I am still very attracted to you, but I am willing to wait until you are ready. Cause you are worth the wait."

Jin smiles at him and says, "Thank you, for being so understanding. I don't think I deserve your attention. But I appreciate your candor."

"You're welcome.. are you willing to go back to the party? Or would you rather go somewhere else?"

"I think I'd rather go home. I suddenly feel exhausted."

"Ok, let's go. It's already pretty late anyway."

He then reaches for his hand and they start heading out.

When they arrive at Jin's house, they sit in the car for a few seconds before Jin exits the car.

"I want to thank you, for inviting me. I'm sure you could have asked anyone else. But I want you to know that the time spent with you, has kept me from dwelling on the hurt and pain that has been a big part of my life lately.

You make me laugh and I really appreciate that you make the effort to help me feel better. That's all I wanted to say."

He then quickly reaches across his seat and kisses his cheek before saying 'goodnight' and rushing out of his car.
