My Brother's Best Friend

Chapter 11

School sucks. Today I start 11th grade.

I pull myself out of bed and go take a shower. I get out of the shower and wrap a towel around me. I was looking for my acid washed high-waisted shorts, and I realized they were in the laundry room. I opened my door, checked to see if anyone was is the hallway, and sprinted to the laundry room. I ran inside and shut the door behind me.

But when I turned around I came face to face with hunter.

"I'm just going to grab these." I said awkwardly reaching around him to get my shorts.

"Okay." He said laughing.

I got out of there as fast as I could and ran to my room.

I got dressed in my shorts and a black crop top that said "whatever" with my galaxy vans.
I curled my hair and did my makeup. I out on winged black eyeliner, mascara, and foundation.
I looked at my self in the mirror and I was please.

"Took you long enough." Brent said as I walked to the front door.

"You know you could have left with out me." I said. "You have your own car."

"But we are helping the environment if we carpool." He said in a duh tone.

"Oh, my bad."

We got to school and parked. My brother was short of popular in school. He was everything, start football player, smart, nice.. And I was kinda popular since I was his sister. I got invited to all the parties and stuff just because he was my brother.

We walked in and it was the same.
The freshman looked scared to death. 10th and 11th graders were just bored and the seniors were happy.
Same as always.

I went to my locker to get my books when someone tapped on my shoulder.

"Excuse me? I am new here and could you tell me where mrs. Jones class is?" A new voice said with a British accent.

I turned around to see possible the hottest guy ever! He has golden blonde hair that was styled perfectly up. He had the most amazing blue eyes too.

"Oh. Uh, yeah. Actually I'm going there too. You can walk with me if you want to.."

"Brad. I'm brad." He said smiling.

"I'm Mali!"

"Well hello, Mali." H said shaking my hand.

He was very polite and hot! His accent was hot too!

"Okay, Brad, do you want to walk with me to the class?" I asked him.

"Yes I would!" He said laughing.

As we walked to the class the talked

"So how did you get here?" I asked Brad.

"My family just moved from England for my father to get a job."

"Oh nice! What grade are you in?"

"I am in 12th grade."

"My brother is in your grade. You can sit with us at lunch if you want." I offered.

"That would be great!" He said smiling.

"Great!"

We got inside the class and sat down. We got a few minutes to talk but I sat there. I didn't want to be back here.

After sitting through the boring class I went on with the rest of my day. After 5th period I saw hunter. I think he was in my science class 7th period.

After 6th period it was time for lunch, my favorite part of the day.

I sat down next to Cassidy and hunter and Brent was across from us. I saw Brad and motioned for him to come sit with us.

"Guys this is Brad. He is from England!" I sat as he sat down next to Brent.

"Hey guys." He said smiling.

Hunter just eyed me and Brad. It's not like there was anything going on. I just met him! Hunter needs to chill.

"So, the winter formal is in a couple months." Cassidy said raising her eyebrows. "And I would love to have some people help me decorate when it gets closer.."

"Yeah, you should really find someone to help you." Brent said, which make all of us laugh.

"Fine. who wants to help me?" Cassidy said smiling.

"I will." Brad spoke up.

"Awe, thanks Brad!" She said. "See you guys need to be more like Brad. He is such a gentleman!"

We all just laughed.

After lunch I got a free period and I sat in the library to think. My first thought was about winter formal.

Every year I ended up going with some loser who didn't even like me. They just wanted party with me. It was so annoying! I'm not just a party girl, I actually want a real relationship.

My mind traveled to hunter. Am I just a party girl to him? Someone he can call when he wants a girl? If that's the case then I'm done with him. Maybe I should talk to him. I will when I get the chance!

I finally got home and ran to my bed! Hunter and Brent drove me home, but I slept the whole way, then I went straight to my room.

I ripped my clothes off, and I put on baggy sweat pants and a sports bra. It felt so good to just wear this!

I put in my headphones to tune everything out. I walked into the kitchen to get some ice cream.

The song she looks so perfect came on. I love this song! I started dancing while looking in the fridge. I was also singing.

I turned around to grab a spoon and to my surprise hunter was standing behind me laughing.

I took my headphones out of my ears.

"Stop laughing at me." I said shoving past him.

"What? I thought it was cute." He said smirking.

"Oh really?" I said raising an eyebrow at him.

"Really." He said kissing my cheek and walking off to his room.
