My Brother's Best Friend

Chapter 14

"Hunter?" I questioned looking at him standing in the door way.

I got up off of Zane.

"Who the hell is this guy?" Zane snapped.

"My brothers friend." I said glaring at Hunter.

"Mali, you need to get home now. It's 4 in the freaking morning. You don't need to stay here any longer." Hunter said yanking my arm.

"No. I want to stay here with Zane." I said pulling my arm back.

"You have been gone for almost 2 days now." hunter said sternly.

"So what? I'm 17 I can do whatever I want. I can stay here for As long as I want." I said standing next to Zane.

"He doesn't want you here." hunter said rolling his eyes.

"Actually, she can stay here whenever she feels like it." Zane said wrapping his arms around me.

"Fine. Do what you want. Stay here for how ever long you want. I'll let Brent know. He is already furious." Hunter said walking out and slamming the door.

"I can't believe he did that! It's none of their business what I do!" I said sitting on zanes bed.

"Hey, it's okay. You can stay here whenever. If you want you can stay here until things die down with your brother and hunter." Zane said rubbing my back.

"Thanks. Is tomorrow Sunday?" i asked.

"Actually today is Sunday." He said laughing.

"Very funny! But I think I should go home sometime tomorrow.." I said trailing off.

"Awe man." He said pouting.

"Maybe you can come over tomorrow! My brother and Zane work all day tomorrow. And maybe you could even stay the night! They would never know!" I said smiling.

"That would be cool!"

"Great! It's settled!" I said kissing his cheek.

Next morning.

I woke up in a peaceful state. Zanes hands were wrapped around my waist. I rolled over to face him.

"Good morning babe." He said kissing me softly.

"More like good after noon. it's 12:30." I said laughing.

"Let's get changed and we can head to your house." Zane said getting up.

After we changed we got in my car and went to my house.

I opened the door and called to make sure no one was home.

"Okay good. No one is here." I said closing the door behind us.

"Nice." He said laughing.

"Now tonight we have to be quite or they will hear us, and I'll just get up in the morning, and fake to be sick, then we'll have tomorrow together too." I said kissing him.

"Sounds perfect." He mumbled against my lips.

We made some popcorn and sat in my room watching tv and talking.

"So do your parents live with you?" I asked Zane.

"Nope. They said I could get my own house to live by my own rules, so I did." He said laughing.

"That's fun I guess. My parents died when I was younger, so my brother and hunter practically raised me.."

"I'm sorry, Mali." Hunter said hugging me.

"It's okay..." I trailed off.

"So," he said changing the subject," does this count as our second date?"

"Hmm... Well we are snuggling watching Netflix. I would say so." I said kissing him on the nose.

A door slammed.

"Someone is home! Hide in the bathroom and lock the door!" I said pushing him out of my bed.

I jumped back in bed and laid down just in time for hunter to walk in.

"Mali?" He said opening the door.

"Yes." I said standing up.

"Thank god you're home!" he said hugging me.

"Uh, yeah..." I said awkwardly.

"Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have shown up at Zane's house and barged in on you guys. I guess I just got kinda, uh jealous." He said scratching the back of his neck.

"It's all good. And I want you to know that Zane and I are going to be hanging out a lot still.."

"Okay, whatever." He said walking out and slamming the door.

"Come out now." I said to Zane.

"What did he want?" Zane said rolling his eyes.

"Just apologizing for when he walked in on us." I said casually.

Hunter was jealous of me with Zane? I mean we did kiss A few times..
I didn't know what to think of all this!

"What time is it?" Zane asked looking up from his phone.

"1:30 am." I said looking at him.

"We need sleep." He said laughing.

"Yeah.. Let's change for bed."

I grabbed my stuff and went to my bathroom. I put on a tank top and Nike pros.

I Walked out and Zane was just in his underwear.

"Like what you see?" He said smirking.

"Very much." I said walking over to him.

When I got to him he picked me up and kissed me.

As we kissed, He started to carry me to my bed when he tripped over his jeans he had taken off.

We went tumbling to the ground with a loud thud.

I heard footsteps down the hallway.

"Shit! Take your clothes and go the the bathroom!" I said shoving Zane towards the bathroom. He got in just in time.

"Mali!?" Hunter said walking through the door.

"Yeah.. Sorry, I uh- um- fell." I said lying terribly.

"Over what?" He said laughing.

"You know me. I am clumsy." I shrugged my shoulders which made him laugh.

"I guess I'll let you go to bed. Night, Mali." He said walking out of my room.

"Night!"

"That was to close." I said laughing as Zane Walked out.

"Next time, you should just stay at my house." He said laughing.

"Probably.." I said laying down.

"Night, Mali." Zane said kissing me.

"Night." I replied snuggling closer to him.
