the room had fallen into an uncomfortable silence as Ziggy stared ahead of herself, her glare fixated on the wall behind her three guests.

"and nick?" her blue eyes snapped towards the hazel ones of the young girl in front of her, the one she had been avoiding ever since she stepped a foot in her home.

there was a sense of guilt, building in her throat every time she looked towards the girl, the familiar features were almost haunting her, reminding her of who she couldn't save that night.

"I thought he was different, I thought he would believe me" she paused, blinking back her tears and swallowing "but you don't become a sheriff talking about ghost stories" she answered back, her eyes going to deena, who sat staring at the book in front of her, a determined look on her face .

Ziggy almost cried as she stared at deena, so determined, so motivated, so naive.


cassie sat in the hallway, facing the locked door of the bathroom, where a tied up sam resided, continuously growling like a dog.

She casted a look towards the owner of the house, she was smoking by the window, staring mindlessly at the sky outside.

cassie looked back towards the door, her mind running a million thought in a minute, it wasn't the first time she heard the story about her dad and aunt death, she was well used to everyone telling her that ever since she could remember.

what was new to her, was that there were new details to the story, how both of them fought until their last breaths, there was almost a personal connection between her and them.

her eyes wondered again towards ziggy, who was secretly trying to wipe away a fallen tear, the teen could sense that there was a connection between her late father and her, a connection that was deeper than that her mother seemed to share with him.

her hand reached inside her backpack, fishing around for her walkie talkie, wanting to check up on the Johnson siblings.

instead her fingertips pushed a cool, rubbery surface, her eyebrows furrowed as she pulled it out.

her eyes took in the old leather book in her hand, it wasn't one she was familiar with.

opening it up, she saw the cursive writing of a name, Eden walker.

the name wasn't familiar in anyway, but that didn't stop her from curiously opening the book, the first entry was in 15 may 1666...
