please read this PSA before reading the chapter. i'll try to keep this as short as possible. first, i'm very sorry for not updating this summer. the author seems to have an idea of ill. translations happening (they haven't spoken anything about it since july though) so i've been staying quiet.

It's coming back like this again.
I grinned as I rolled the candy I received from Cassis with my tongue.
Every time I'm scared, people around me give me delicious snacks.
Boris's threat to me was a little annoying and scary, but I felt relieved after receiving warm gazes around me.
But I shouldn't use it too often.
I sipped the hot chocolate May brought me at the same time as I ate the candy.
At that time, Cassis, who was only staring at me, asked again.
"Are you sure you're all right?"
"Mhm. I am."
"If I had went out a little earlier to find..."
"It's a bad habit to regret something that hasn't even happened, Cassis."
I interrupted Cassis's words.
He stared at me with gentle eyes.
His blue eyes were deep as the abyss, and as clear as the blue sky. He looked at the locket around my neck and said.
"If I overcome my illness and become a great magician, I'll make something better."
It was threatening enough even now.
It's a shame that Boris's priest uniform was self-defense, but if an ordinary person was blown away by the magic, they would have broken a bone or two.
But I laughed because I knew he was worried about me more than anyone else.
"Okay. I'm going to have to see Cassis, who's going to be a magician."
Cassis chuckled as I made a joke.
"It's nice to hear, even if it's empty talk."
It's not empty talk. You're really going to be a sorcerer.
I held back the words by blinking my eyes. It's not something he can understand anyway.
Cassis said quietly.
"You always seem to appreciate me."
"Well, Cassis is an objectively good person."
It's all true.
