I stared at Cassis and Elisha with shaky eyes, unable to believe the reality in front of me.

Rather than being happy to meet each other, the two were just sullen.

I wasn't trying to do this?

My original plan was not to fall in love with Cassis, but to distance myself from him so that Elisha and Cassis could have their own relationship.

Unlike Evelyn in the novel, I didn't do anything to alienate the two, or harass Elisha, so I thought my role was good enough.

But why aren't they dating? Why on earth?

"You're here again."

Cassis spoke out of courtesy, but his tone was quite unfriendly. Elisha also reacted with alacrity.

"I'm here to see Evelyn."

"That's a given."

Look at that. How can you respond like that to someone you like?

The reality I saw too late was shocking.

Is this okay? Did I make I mistake? It's too different from the novel.

Last time in Mori Forest, no progress was made, even though the two obviously spent time together.

At that time, Cassis was seriously injured because of Ruby, and because of the circumstance, I did not sense that it was strange, even though Elisha did not panic about him.

I thought something was going to start happening at that time, of course.

Could it have been because I gave Elisha the defense item?

No. They weren't interested in each other before that.

So I didn't bother Elisha?

Did this happen because I eliminated the chance for Cassis to play nice?

My head was in a complicated mess.

After Cassis returns to the capital, there will be no reason for him to visit here.

Somehow I felt regretful, but I quickly shook it off.

More than that, I felt like I had ruined Elisha's flower path without realizing it.

"How are you, Evelyn?"

Then Elisha peeped at me and asked, I quickly came to my senses and greeted her.

"I'm okay now. Welcome, Elisha."

"I'm glad you're okay. Oh, take this. Evelyn."

Elisha put on a really relieved look and held out a beautifully packed glass bottle.

Inside, there was citrus syrup mixed with honey. Maybe she brought it because I suffered from the cold.

"This is..."

"I've got a good deal for the cold."

Elisha spoke with a bright, pure face. In the midst of it, I let go of Cassis's hand, which I had been holding until then, in order to receive the gift.

Cassis wiggled his fingers, lowering his hand slowly.

I can't believe you made it yourself.

Before I knew it, I was deeply moved by the citrus syrup Elisha had brought.

If you're nice to the heroine, you'll get citrus syrup in your sleep. I'm glad we got along.

Food was always right. I was delighted, clasping my hands on the citrus syrup she had given me.
