The place where the priest took me was where the rabbit beast was.
The rabbit beast was drenched in holy water.
It looked like it had just been purified. I approached in admiration, it finished faster than I thought.
The priest covered the rabbit with a towel and shook it off.
The rabbit waited calmly without struggling. It looked exhausted already.
"Rabbit. I'm here."
At my call, the beast's ears pricked and it raised its head.
When it confirmed that I was the owner of the voice, it jumped out of the hands of the priest and jumped at me.
"Oh! You're not dry yet..."
The priest muttered with a troubled face. He ran to me in a hurry and looked down blankly at the rabbit I hugged.
My clothes became dark because of the wet fur.
The rabbit rubbed its face against me, as if my clothes were a towel and gave a shallow cry.
Kiying.
It's like, 'Master! Where have you been? Did you try to abandon me again?!'
I quickly clasped my heart.
It's a beast that almost killed me, but the thing was being cute.
"Give it to me please, Miss. And you need to change your clothes."
"This is fine. Give the towel to me. I'll do it."
When I reached out my hand, the priest carefully handed me the towel.
The rabbit sat close to me like it would never leave my side again.
While I was drying the rabbit's fur aggressively, the priest who led me to the temple came up and asked.
"Have you decided on a name?"
"Not yet."
The rabbit growled as soon as it saw the priest. It seemed to know that he almost killed it.
The priest looked at the rabbit and said something unusual.
"I think it's going to be quite troublesome to tame. It seems to have a violent temper."
"It was scared. It almost died."
I refuted back at the priest's words and smiled. Then the priest coughed awkwardly.
"Rabbit, how about Carrot?"
I looked into the rabbit's eyes and still didn't give up on naming it 'Carrot'.
Then the rabbit glared. The red eyes flared as if they were on fire.
I hate it more than the idea of dying, it seemed to say.
I stared into the rabbit's red eyes. When you look at them with an intent gaze, the pretty eyes glitter like jewels.
Ah. That was it.
I looked at the priest with a smile at the name that came to my mind.
"I got a name."
Kiying!
The rabbit howled as if shouting, 'No Carrot!' and cried.
"Oh, then we'll start the ceremony right away."
Kking.
"Don't worry. It's not Carrot."
I whispered quietly as the rabbit whined and pleaded. Only then did the rabbit quiet down.
