"Oh, by the way. I need to leave, so everybody needs to be free this weekend."

"Where are we going?"

When I asked with my eyes wide open, the Count answered.

"I made some donations to the temple this time, and they want to invite the whole family. Finally, there's a spiritual priest in the temple, so let's go with Cassis if you don't mind."

"What?"

Cassis asked in surprise as he listened silently. He didn't seem to know that the Count would ask him to come with him.

Count Monstera spoke with a warm smile.

"You don't have to be surprised. I've already thought of you as my family since you came to my house. I can't leave my family behind."

"Ah..."

Cassis couldn't answer the Count's words, his mouth was wide open.

He squeezed his small mouth shut, he seemed very shy at the moment.

As Cassis continued to have no answer, the Countess beside him spoke in a gentle tone.

"You can rest at home if you feel uncomfortable going far away out of the dark. Don't feel pressured."

"No, I'll go."

Cassis replied with his head down. I stared at his face like that.

Somehow, his ears were red.

On the weekend, I had an early breakfast and headed to the temple to arrive on time.

Somehow my heart was excited because it was a long journey in a carriage.

The temple was built in Hisaya, right next to Montez.

It was difficult to get to the top of the mountain without a carriage.

The carriage had turned around the corner of the mountain, and we kept climbing up.

I was admiring the grass and trees outside the window, and my mother said.

"Evelyn, you may not remember, but when you were a baby, you came to Hisaya to be baptized."

"Really? When?"

If it was a time I couldn't remember, it was probably before I remembered my past life.

I was startled as they told me a story I didn't remember when I was very young.

"You were too young to remember. I was so surprised when you didn't breathe as soon as your body was dipped in holy water."

Count Monstera spoke in a sentimental way. The Countess agreed.

"Yes, it turns out you were asleep. Whew. I was so surprised then."

"Huh. Our Evelyn was probably the only one sleeping so peacefully as soon as she reached the holy water."

Count Monstera stroked my head with those words.

Looking at his eyes, he seemed to be proud of his daughter for growing up very bravely.

"The next day, maybe you first succeeded in flipping. How loud you cried. The little Lynlyn made it very far."

"Hehe. I grew up well thanks to my mom and dad!"

I replied, smiling awkwardly at the two sentimental people.

It was because of the embarrassing words I heard were in front of Cassis.

Fortunately, Cassis was sleeping with his eyes closed peacefully.
