"Hey Cherry! Hey...?" Joe wondered what they wanted their skate name to be.
"I was thinking about Pyro?" She wondered. They both nodded in approval and got on Cherry's scooter. It was a boring ride there and Pyro almost fell asleep. They eventually arrived and Joe picked them both off of the scooter and carried them to a rock to watch the races.
"Put me down you idiotic ape!" Cherry almost shouted but didn't want to draw more attention to them.
"Alright alright. I'll put you down, pinky." Joe snorted at Cherry's mad expression, oblivious to the blood rushing to his face under the mask. Pyro caught it and snickered but looked near the entrance where they heard faint yelling.
'Something must've happened with the beef.. I wonder what." She thought. She shrugged and went back to listening to the "not married" couple. They were now just throwing names at each other... It was getting quite annoying.
"Shut. up. both of you." Pyro said with their infamous glare. Joe jumped but Cherry stood in place and glared back.
Meanwhile
Reki felt a slight chill go down his back. The same kind of chill that he got when the new kid glared at all of them when they introduced themselves. He ignored it for now but still felt a bit scared.
Back to the trio
"Don't tell me to shut up. I'm older." He growled.
"Fine, fine old man." They both gave up and just watched toward the front. It seemed that there was a hold up but while they were waiting Joe and Cherry's fangirls spotted them and surrounded them.
Cherry ignored them while Joe humored them with flirting.
"I'm going to skate up front and see what is causing the holdup." Cherry said and skated off, almost unaware of you following him. "You wanted to come with?" He asked.
"I mean yeah. Better than seeing Joe flirt with all those girls." Cherry smirked.
"I agree with you on that one." He said. Pyro didn't see him frown under his mask this time and he liked how he could be upset about his high school crush being straight in private. He didn't need them to know about it and they didn't need to know every small thing about him.
"Sooo Cherry. Wanna bet who will win this race between that one weird guy with the super clingy girlfriend or the secret florist?" Pyro said suddenly, making the amber-eyed man almost jump. He recovered quickly.
"Shadow. He has the most experience and even if I don't like his dirty tricks, they help him win a lot. I doubt he won't use them this time. Carla, what are the statistics of shadow winning against Hisori?" Cherry asked.
"The statistics are 7 to 1, master." The robot replied back as they merged into the crowd near the starting line.
"Langa?! What are you doing?!" They recognized that boy from the skate shop.
"I thought I'd skate." Blueberry head said calmly. She saw the broken skateboard that Langa was taping to his feet and put the pieces together that Reki must've been trying to deliver a skateboard and he gave a broken one instead and so the dude is obviously mad because he's an asshole who doesn't realize it was a mistake so Langa is skating in his place.
"YOU CAN'T EVEN DO AN OLLIE YET!" Strawberry head was freaking out as Langa finished duct-taping the board to his feet.
"Let him skate." Pyro barely realized that Cherry had disappeared and showed up behind the boy. Everyone was excited.
