(letty’s)

It’s been 2 months and Shawn still hasn’t called me. He probably moved on.

“Mom! I’m heading out!”

“Where are you going?”

“Just going to take a walk!”

“Use the car!”

“I said i’m walking! Bye Mom!”

I slammed the door shut behind me and started to head towards the snowy streets of Manhattan. God, this place. A lot of memories might’ve happened here. Memories that I don’t remember.

“Ouch- “

“Oh I’m sorry I wasn’t – Shawn?” I stared at him. His eyes seems to be full of joy and happiness. So my guess was right. He moved on.

“Oh hey Letty. Where ya headin?”

“Just roaming around.”

“Let’s grab some coffee!” He pulled my hand and we ran to a coffee shop.

As we entered the aroma of coffee filled my nose. It does smell good in here.

“Shawn! Over here!” I turned my head and saw a girl who gestured Shawn towards the table.

We sat down and I stared at the both of them. Is he her boyfriend? Are they together? Wow, Shawn must be really happy.

They talked and laughed and they didn’t seem to notice my presence any longer.

“Hey Letty, what’s your order?” Asks the girl. Okay, I shouldn’t have spoken sooner.

“Uhm, just hot chocolate- wait how’d you know my name?”

“My brother, Shawn, when both of you were together. Oh right, you don’t remember. I’m Jen. Shawn’s sister.” She held out her hand for me to shake. I shook it.

My hot chocolate came and i drank it, ignoring the heat.
