I drove to my sister’s house.
“Shawn? What’s wrong?”
“Wow, I just got here and you sensed a mistake?” I asked and she just rolled her eyes at me.
“Enough sarcasm, and just tell me what I need to know.”
I sat down and told her about Letty and Logan and my anger and everything.
“You know, Letty’s a strong woman. I’ve liked her since then.” She continued, “but you must know that you cannot force someone to love you.”
“But I know she loves me!” I protested.
“Are you sure that she still does?” She asked and no words came out of my mouth. “See? Things change. People change. Not everyone stays the same. You have to deal with it.”
“That’s it? That’s your advice? To deal with it?” I asked and she nodded.
