(letty’s)

I’m kinda working it out with Shawn. Taking baby steps though. I don’t want to rush him. We’re actually good in being friends.

“Hey Shawn, wanna hang out?” I asked through the phone.

“Sure. Be there in 10 minutes.” Then he hang up.

--

“Hey!!!!” i said as i opened the door for Shawn. “Oh come in.”

“SO formal, eh?”

“Oh you know, it’s no big deal. It’s just your birthday and all...”

“You remember my birthday??” he asked shockingly. “Of course!” i replied, “i did some research! Happy birthday shawn!” and then handed him a box.

“Open it.” I added. And he did.

Inside is a photograph of us. It was a photo my mom took at a party. My arms around his neck and his hands on my waist. Smiles shining in the darkness.

I looked at him and his reaction was priceless.

I grabbed his face and kissed his soft lips. And I let myself get lost in the moment.
