(SHAWN’S POV)

“Why doesn’t she remember me? Why?” I asked the doctor.

“She had a horrific car accident and based on her x-rays, her head’s the most affected area and as you can see here” he pulls out the x-ray from an envelope, “her hippocampus is damaged. It’s responsible for her memory. It’s damaged that’s why she can’t remember anything. But the good news is she may remember a few things. Maybe her childhood or the first pet she had or her parents but she won’t remember any recent activity she’s done.” He explained and looked at me. “I’m sorry Mr. Reichart.” and he started to walk away.

I sat down the nearest bench and ran my hands through my hair. I wiped away the tears from my eyes and started to tell myself that this is all a dream. Tomorrow, I will wake up and Letty will call me telling me how much she loves me.

This is impossible.

Out of all the people in this planet, why does it have to be her?
