gloomy autumn

It's the next morning.

You wake up sleepily to sunlight shining through the curtains. Your eyes half open you look to the side only to see that side of the bed empty. You rub your eyes and sit up. 'Huh? Did he leave already?'

You then shrug, because he might have had to wake up early. Then your eyes land on a small note on his pillow and you take it slowly. You turn the paper and scan what he has written on it.

"Dear Y/n,
I hope you find this letter and read it through carefully. I know we were supposed to go through this together but I don't think I can or want to anymore. It's not your fault at all and I know I might sound selfish, but I just can't live like this. I have an entire volleyball career in front of me and all of this would just be in the way.
I hope you aren't going to take this personally. I think I found someone with whom I can start all over with. You know, live a life like I want.
You're going to be a wonderful parent but I won't be there anymore. I want to apologize and I wish you all the best!

Your hands shake as you finish the letter and place it onto your lap. You look up at the ceiling while tears form in your eyes. "Why..."
You feel a stinging feeling in your chest and press your hands on it. On your heart.

Tiny sobs escape your mouth as you let the tears fall freely. You couldn't believe it. Your mind speeds through all the times you spent with him and how perfectly fine everything seemed.

"How dare you..." you whisper inbetween sobs. "How dare you deceive me like this.."

You try to calm down but it doesn't work. Your body is shaking in shock and your face is wet from tears. You grab your hair and start screaming your heart out. Pulling harder and harder to not feel any pain in your heart anymore. You forget the time that passes but you don't care.

Soon enough your friend, upon hearing your screams, comes rushing into your room. Her eyes widen at your state and she quickly runs to your side of the bed. "Y/n, please, stop it.." you hear her faintly. She keeps on grabbing your arms to release your grip on your hair. "Y/n!! Come on!"

You try shaking her off but she keeps on pulling your arms. "No! No stop it" she keeps on yelling at you and you start hearing it louder and louder until you finally wake up. Your breath going rapidly. You stare at your friend who sighs and sits down next to you.

You can feel the sweat on your forehead and brush it away. "That was just a dream?" you whisper. She looks at you with a small smile and nods. "Yes but that must have been a tragic one" she says and gently strokes your back. You relax a bit and then tell her what it was. She shakes her head and gives you a tight hug. "He would never, you know that"
You nod slowly. "No he wouldn't"

She then points to a note on top of his pillow. "He did leave a note though"
You twirl around and see it. Your hand reaches for it and slowly turns it around. You feel your breath hitch as you're scared of what's written on it.

"Hey gorgeous,
I'm leaving this letter so you won't be confused as to why I'm not here. You fell asleep quite fast yesterday so I didn't get to tell you. I have early practice today. I know you have classes so I told your friend to wake you up because you probably haven't set an alarm. I'll text you during the day. Take care of yourself and our baby while I'm not there :P

You smile widely as you set it down. "This is a lot better than in my dream" you then say and your friend grins. "Of course, now get ready"

~time skip~

You're in your last class for the day and suddenly your phone buzzes. You look at the professor who keeps his lecture going and then down, grabbing your phone. You see a notification from Suna and smile.

Hey ;) I just finished practice. How's your day?

Hii, quite okay. This is my last class! :D
Did practice go well?

Rin
Yupp! Are you texting me in class..

Y/n
Maybe ;) I want to tell you something, are we going to hang out today?

Rin
For sure baby. I'm not able to pick you up after school but I'll come to your dorm then.

Y/n
Oh that's fine!

Rin
Did you experience morning sickness today?

Y/n
Yeah, right after my first lecture :/ but I'm okay!!

You put your phone back into your backpack and jump around happily in your head. One of your lecture friends nudges you and you look into her grinning face. "Was that your boyfriend?"
You roll your eyes playfully and then smile. "Yes it certainly was"

After a few more minutes it's finally time to go home and you quickly pack your things. You say goodbye to your friends and hurry back as quick as possible.
Arriving at your dorm, it's empty because your friend has some more lectures.

You place your things down and go wash yourself a bit before putting on more comfortable clothes. You put on a rather tight shirt that shows your very tiny baby bump. You smile as you look down at it and then make your way to the living room area.

Just a little while later you hear the bell ring and stand up, quickly making your way to the door. You open it and see Suna smiling at you. "Hii" you say as you wrap your arms around his neck and he laughs. "Same reaction everytime"

He puts his arms around you and lifts you up slightly twirling you around. Upon letting you down again he hands you a small flower bouquet and you take it excitedly. "Thank you so much they're so pretty"
He gently tilts your chin up with his hand and leans down for a kiss. "For the prettiest"

You take his hand and lead him inside. He takes off his jacket and you guys go into your room. "It's getting colder everyday" he says and sighs. You sit down on your bed and nod. "Summer's over"

He kneels down in front of you placing his hands on your thighs. "Soo what is it that you wanted to tell me" his eyes fixed on yours with a frown. You chuckle, caressing his hands. "I almost forgot"

"So I had a dream.."

"Sounds bad already"

"Shut up"

You glare at him playfully and then continue. "I dreamt that I woke up today and you left already, just as you did. You left a note for me too but it was like a goodbye letter."

He tilts his head. "What did dream me write?"
You go on and tell him as detailed as possible what was written in that letter. You also tell him about your reaction and how you then woke up.
He stares at you for a bit looking for the right words. "You know I would never right?"
You nod slowly. His hands glide from your thighs to your hips, up and down. "I guess so"

"You guess? Oh no no that's not enough."
He stands up and then pushes you down on the bed gently, hovering above you. He makes sure not to put too much pressure onto your belly. His hands intertwining with yours he puts them on each side of your head. You blush slightly.

"I love you so much, you would never know, get that into your head" he whispers leaving small kisses all over your neck. Your skin burning under his touch, the heat staying for just a tiny second until he finds a new spot. "I love you too Rin.." you reply the sensations leaving you breathless.

His lips moving to your jaw then your lips. You kiss him back slowly. You can feel his smile against your lips. He removes one of his hands from yours and places it at the hem of your shirt, lifting it slightly.
His lips hovering millimeters above yours.

"Let me show you how much I do"
