Elwin allowed Keefe and Sophie to return to Foxfire the next morning, to witch Keefe was relieved. The sooner Keefe could forget about the weird dreams he had starring Sophie, the better. He threw on his level 8 uniform and ran to the leap master. "What are you doing Hunkyhair? It's early," Ro said groggily. She had dyed her hair yet again, the tips of her pig tails being bright yellow, matching her claws.

"Going to school, thank you very much." He said and walked onto the leapmaster, under the thousands of crystals glittering above his head. The wonder of the Elvin world was ordinary at this point, but Ro was still nervous using leapmasters or crystals. "Come on, you just want to see Blondie.". Keefe rolled his eyes and flushed. It was slightly true. The possibility of seeing Sophie was good enough to make him run to Foxfire on foot.

"I don't want to be late. So let's go!" He motioned for Ro to stand beside him which she reluctantly obliged. "Foxfire." He whispered and was whisked away in a warm light. The sun peeked through the clouds and the surrounding trees were swaying. "I don't think the mentors are even here Keefe." Ro said and patted him on the back, "I want to go inside, Ro. Come on!" Keefe started running into the main hall, no one was there.

Keefe ran into the lunch hall, no one was there. Keefe ran into the PE Arena, no one was there. Keefe ran into the Library, no one was there. Keefe ran into the telepathy classroom, no one was there. Keefe ran into the ballroom, and somebody was  there.

Music was playing from a small device, that wasn't in the Enlightened language, but English. There was a blonde girl putting her hands on the shoulders of an imaginary figure, waltzing around the room gracefully. Sophie was smiling brightly and spinning around the room. The music bounced of the crystal walls of the ballroom in a clattering symphony.

Sophie danced around the room as the music slowed down, she dipped into one of her messy curtseys and walked back to her Ipod. "I think I'm in love...", Keefe said and took a step towards Sophie and she whipped towards him, blushing. "I was just-" Keefe interrupted her by offering his hand, almost if on que the song restarted and he said, "May I have this dance, Foster?". Sophie blushed, but gave him her hand.

'start/restart music here, please! (for effect)'

"Why were you practising?" Keefe asked, putting one hand in hers and the other on her waist, and Sophie putting her remaining hand on Keefe's shoulder. Sophie smiled her most beautiful smile, which was the smile she used every time, and told him that Biana said she should learn to dance, but was too embarrassed to ask anybody for help. Keefe nodded and spun her around. They danced around the room slowly, resting their foreheads on each other.

"You can always ask me, Foster. How about we do this again. Tomorrow! That way,x we can hang out, and you'll learn to dance." Sophie blushed and nodded. "I'm so lucky to have you Keefe. But... Was I in your dream? Be-because we were together, a-and had a family but I'm only allowed to be with F-fitz and," She looked up at Keefe, "What does it all mean?" She cried, desperately. Keefe shook his head.

"Can I be honest? I don't know what it means..." Sophie's eyebrows furrowed, "But I should tell you that I really like you. And I don't expect to be anything more to you than a friend, but you have the right to know." Sophie's jaw went slack and her eyes glazed over. She didn't blush but her cheeks were pink. Keefe could feel her heart start to flutter through their contact, which he hoped was a good sign. "Is that allowed?" Sophie asked, and it broke his heart a little. A memory he would recall till his memory grayed, over and over again.

The look in Sophie's eyes. How Keefe could feel how crushed she was, there wasn't a hint of happiness in her. Which Keefe would always remember, how his world set impossible standards for her. He set impossible standards for her. Keefe stopped waltzing and hugged her tightly. "Who cares what they think! You saved the world, you have already proven yourself. Do something for you for once!" Sophie smiled weakly, "Then yeah, yeah, I like you too. Like like, I mean."

The music swelled louder and Keefe smiled so big, Sophie would tell him about it and it made him smile. Keefe spun her around the waist and she laughed, when Keefe put her back down, Sophie leaned in and kissed him. KISSED HIM! KISSED KEEFE! They pulled apart and Sophie smiled, "Was that allowed?" She asked, sweetly. "That was definitely allowed, Foster." They leaned in again and kissed as the music ended. "

What are we gonna do about Fitz?" Keefe froze momentarily. Of course something had to be stopping them! Nothing would ever be perfect. "Just tell him. In a public area so I can help. He can't do anything there." Sophie nodded rapidly, trying to convince herself it would work, "I promise it will work out.", Keefe looked into Sophie's deep eyes. The gold flecks brought out in the warm lighting.

Slow clapping ran throughout the hall, "You finally did it Hunkyhair, and god am I thankful we came to school early." Sophie blushed and stepped back from Keefe, so their foreheads no longer touched. "Well we could of talked a lot more if you didn't interr-" a chair dropped on Ro's head from mid-air and Sophie burst into a fit of giggles, "Sor-sorry RO! HAHA, it was too tempting, hahah!" Sophie was stuck in a fit of giggles when Ro said, "So it was you, Blondie. interesting" Stroking her chin with her bright yellow nails.

"I came to get you because schools starting, and if Fitzypoo caught you it wouldn't be to great. Would it?" the two blonds nodded and walked towards Ro. "I'm gonna go to my locker. It would be best if we don't appear together." Sophie told Keefe and he agreed. Sophie and Fitz weren't officially broken up yet. So they had to be careful. With a quick kiss the parted and it didn't help that Ro was pestering him about the dancing, how right she was about Sophie liking him back, that it was hard not to think about her.

Next, I have elementalism so I have to go that way," He rounded a corner and saw Sophie talking to Fitz about her classes. His hand was around her and Keefe's tounge coated itself with a fresh layer of bile. He knew Sophie liked him, but seeing Fitz hold her made his blood boil. Since when have I been protective?

The streets of Atlantis was bustling and Sophie was sitting on a bench alone, Keefe, Fitz, and Dex on the bench across from them with a table between them. They had been shopping for Biana's sleepover, and wanted to take a break. The table was similar to a human picnic table but made out of amethyst crystals.

An elf sat next to Sophie and she looked at him, stood up, and sat  next to Dex, the elf with jet black hair and vibrant eyes shrugged, "What? I'm not gonna hurt you." Sophie laughed, "But we will!" Keefe, Dex and Fitz said in unison. The teen scurried away and Sophie returned to her seat.

"At least I'll always have you guys."

Oh yeah, then. As he woke from his thoughts to see Sophie and Fitz rounding the corner, hand in hand. Sophie's uncomfortable angst wafting into Keefe's senses. Lihn crossed his vision and he walked over to her. "Hey, Lihn." Lihn jumped from the sound of his voice, "Sorry! I didn't see you there. What's up?" She asked and Keefe ran a hand through his hair. "Well, in my dream Sophie and Fitz had... broken up? And, this is going to sound bad but, Fitz used you to make Sophie jealous."

Lihn was silent and had a pondering look on her face. "Oh. Thanks for telling me. What, what lesson do you have now?" She asked and smiled. "Empathy, but I was going to ditch. Bye, Lihn" He waved and Lihn skipped to her next lesson.Keefe wandered over to his usual ditching spot and smiled to himself. Things were finally working out, he replayed his first vision. He had married Sophie! He had a child, and his daughter would love him! He was relieved.

Then he remembered he was an Emissary. Keefe didn't want to be a normal emissary, he wanted to do his own thing. Why wouldn't I just quit? Will I enjoy it? He thought. What happens would happen for a reason, and him knowing would affect the future already, so nothing was set in stone. He would do things on his own terms, so nothing like the fight he saw would happen.

Hopefully?
