Sophie had floated to her locker to meet with her friends. She took her books for the morning sessions until lunch, and made small talk with Marella and Lihn. Sophie knew it was suspicous because Biana kept shooting her odd glances. They walked together into the atrium to see Magnate Leto, a secret member of the Black Swan, smiling widely.

As the morning announcements rolled  through the atrium, Sophie couldn't focus. The events from the morning whirling around her brain at top speed, a goofy smile on her face, but she couldn't help but feel guilty. The small speck of guilt growed in Sophie throughout her classes, she had kissed someone else, and cheated on Fitz. It was a sunny day and when she stepped into the arena for PE with all her friends, base quest day.

The prodigies cheered as mentors franticly tried to silence them. "We will have 6 teams, each team with two captains, the captains will be from the elite levels and have been picked prematurely." The lower levels grumbled their annoyance and Sophie could hear Fit tell Keefe, "I bet we're going to be captains." she shrivelled inwardly, which Fitz must have seen because he wrapped an arm around Sophie, and forced her to stand talled.

Dang it, Fitz.

"The captains for team one will be, Ms. Biana Vacker, and Mr. Tam. For team two, Mr. Fitz Vacker, and Mr. Dex Dizznee. For team 3, Mr. Keefe Sence, and Ms. Sophie Foster." Sophie groaned, why did she have to be a co-captain, WITH KEEFE? MR. UNIVERSE WHY? "Team 4, Ms. Lihn and Ms. Marella Redek. Captains please come forward." Sophie felt a swooping motion under her feet and was suddenly being carried hastily to the front of the arena, "Put me down!!" She cried.

The person obeyed and turns out it was Keefe, he smiled at her and she laughed. "YOU ALL WANT TO BE ON THIS TEAM, BY THE WAY! TEAM FOSTER-KEEFE FOR THE WIIIIN!!" A group of prodigies cheered, where the rest of the group stayed quiet. "That will be quite enough Mr. Sencen." A mentor scolded, and he shrugged. The sun broke through the clouds casting a glare of sunlight on the arena's floor.

It was beautiful, the crystal arena obtained the light and made small rainbow reflections over everyone and everything. The four mentors sorted prodigies into the groups, and when it was over, Keefe assured Sophie they had the best team. Sophie wasn't worried, however.

"WE WILL HAVE TWO GAMES GOING ON SIMULTANEOUSLY! TEAM ONE AND TWO WILL BE IN THE WEST FOREST, TEAM THREE AND FOUR IN THE EAST. TEAM TWO AND TEAM FOUR WILL BE QUESTING FIRST, A TREE IS MARKED OUT FOR YOU! HAVE FUN, AND NO VIOLENCE PLEASE! ABILITIES ARE ALLOWED!" A loud voice boomed around the forest, Keefe led the group to a large pine tree. The branches stalked up to the clouds and it was beautiful.

"Alright team! You, you, you, and you will be gaurding the tree.  The rest of us will be scouting the area. Listen to Sophie, because she can figure out where anybody is, and LET'S DO THIS! WOOOOO!!" The team wooed around Sophie and she smiled. This was going to be lots of fun. A conch shell horn blowed in the distance and the group charged into the forest.

Sophie tagged about ten people, but it wasn't much. Considering each team had around fity prodigies and two captains. She saw Lihn running towards the tree, which was open?! Sophie drew energy from her mental springs and sprinted to Lihn. Lihn looked over to Sophie and tried to dodge, but Sophie jumped towards her and tagged her out. They both fell on the ground and rolled into a bush. Lihn and Sophie burst out laughing. "Guess you're out." Sophie shrugged and Lihn nodded, "Guess I am."

Sophie helped Lihn up and they laughed it off. The conch horn blew in the distance signalling the end of match one. Sophie's team had one and moved into the finals with team two. Fitz's team. This time they were trying to get to the tree, which Keefe was 100% confident they could do. Turned out they had a few more problems then anticipated.

The horn blew and Keefe took most of the team, where Sophie only took three or four people. The bushes were great to duck behind, and Sophie saw countless prodigies run in front of her, completely oblivious. Sophie could see the clearing where she needed to run to, which was open. She decided to leave her small group and ran into the clearing where she bumped into Keefe, causing her to stumble and fall, her hair covered her face and she blew it back.

Keefe offered his hand and Sophie took it smiling. They walked over to the wall, not letting go of each other, when Fitz leaped out at them. The moment went in slow motion for Sophie, Keefe spun around so he was closest to Fitz and tucked Sophie into him. Fitz tagged Keefe out and Sophie ducked and touched the very base of the tree with her pointer finger.

Keefe erupted in cheers and chants as the rest of her team ran towards her and lifted her up.  She was sitting on Keefe's shoulders in an instant and blushing pro furiously. "TEAM FOSTER-KEEFE FOR THE WIN!!" She screamed, for the first time using their nickname and smiling. Her team echoed, "FOSTER-KEEFE! FOSTER-KEEFE!" And gently lowered Sophie so Keefe was holding her up.

Keefe let her down and immediately hugged her, for longer then necessary and Fitz scowled at him. Sophie stepped back and brushed her hair back. The other prodigies were clapping for Sophie's heroic play that would be remembered in Foxfire history. Fitz walked over to Sophie and brought her into a side hug, kissing her forehead. "Who knew you were so athletic, Ms. F." Sophie laughed and shrugged, "Natural finesse, I guess!" everyone around her started laughing and the mentors  directed them towards the main campus for lunch.

Sophie didn't realize how hungry she was until she smelled the food radiating from the cafeteria. Yumm. She was given thin pink noodles in a purple broth. She sat down between Keefe and Fitz, and that's where the drama began.
