Aileen had not come up with anything while the man was knocked out. She just prayed he would wake up as himself. Steve had crawled his way out from under the bed and seemed unharmed. After about an hour, Bucky started to regain consciousness, letting out a groan as he opened his eyes. He opened them to see Aileen standing over him, a gun pointed right at his face. He noticed the black eye that she now had, crusted blood under her nose, and bruises in a hand shape around her neck.
"What-What happened?" He questioned, instantly knowing he had done this to her.
"Good question metal armed man, I was going to ask you the same thing." Aileen growled softly, not moving the gun. Even though she knew it was him she did not trust him at the moment.
"I hurt you." He said, slowly raising so he was sitting up. Aileen huffed.
"I've had a lot worse." She grumbled as she finally put the gun at her side. "Take your time." She told him seriously. "I hit you pretty hard."
"How'd you know that would work?" Bucky asked.
"I didn't. Good thing it did." She said as she moved back into the bedroom. There was suddenly a knock at the door. "Fuck." Could it get any worse? She couldn't answer the door how she looked.
"I'll get it." Bucky said. Aileen didn't argue with him as she sat down on the edge of one of the beds. Her head was starting to hurt the more she stood up. She felt like she was seeing stars now. All the adrenaline was starting to wear off. She gripped the side of the bed, willing herself not to pass out. He must have hit her harder than she realized. She stood up as Bucky finally seemed to shoo whoever was at the door away. Aileen immediately got light headed and everything went black for her.
Bucky quickly caught the girl before she could fall to the ground. He laid her down on the bed and went through her bag, finding the first aid kit. He soon found that she packed a lot more than just a first aid kit. He went to work cleaning her up and getting her taken care of. It seemed to come naturally to him. He was glad something came natural for once. He took a second to think. They needed to leave again before someone else came knocking on the door.
After a couple of hours of Aileen sleeping Bucky decided it was time to go. He stepped outside. He looked over to the car that they had come in. He decided it was time to change it up. He found a rusted old pickup truck. He quickly hotwired it then went and got Aileen, Steve, and all the stuff.
Bucky set off down the road, thinking of where they were going now. He remembered Aileen had said something about a friend in California. He followed the signs towards California.

Aileen woke up to someone licking her face. She cracked one eye open and saw that it was Steve. She slowly reached her hand up and patted his head running her hand through his long coarse fur. She opened both eyes and noticed she was in the passenger seat of a beat up old truck. She groaned softly as her head was still feeling the effects of the fight. She looked over to see Bucky intently staring at the road, hand gripping the steering wheel tightly.
"Where are we?" She asked her voice gravely. She didn't think she had been asleep for that long, but her body ached from being in the same place for so long.
"Utah, I think." Bucky responded. "How are you feeling? I was worried." The last part seemed to escape his lips before he could stop it. Aileen must have been asleep for a while cause last she checked they had been in Nebraska.
"I'm okay. Like I said before I've been through worse. I have the scars to prove if you don't believe me." She smiled.
"I believe you." He said.
