3RD PERSON
"changmin," she called out, unsure of how her husband would react. they had not discussed about having children before and that fact terrified chaewon the most. chaewon watched the male who sat in the living room, engrossed in a new book he had bought. "changmin," she called out once again - this time a little louder, making him quickly turned to look at her. "yes, love?" he had asked, before returning his gaze onto the pages of the thick book. his glasses sat perfectly on the bridge of his nose.
"i'm pregnant," she said with all the courage she had left. without lifting up his gaze from the book, changmin said,"it's okay, honey. everyone gets pregnant one day- wait, did you just say you're pregnant?" he whipped his head around to look at the female. chaewon nodded hesitantly.
"are you serious?" changmin had hopped off the couch and stood in front of her, his hands cupping her cheeks. upon seeing chaewon with a rather serious expression, changmin bit back a smile as he embraced his wife. "you really are," he whispered, "thank you, chaewon," his hand continuously stroke her hair softly as he hugged her tight.

8 months later
ji changmin turned out to be the cutest and most hardworking husband. changmin had done his best to make sure both his wife and child got the best treatment. he would carry all the heavy things, not allowing her to lift even a finger. chaewon got sick of laying around all day, looking around for something to do. she decided to wash and hang some leftover laundry.
changmin who passed by the laundry room, raised an eyebrow at her. "what are you doing?" he asked, making her freeze. she did not want to be caught by her husband, knowing well that he would nag about taking care of herself. "laundry?" she grinned innocently at him.
"no! you go and rest now, love! i got this!" changmin would usher her to go back to bed - to read, watch videos or be on her phone.
that one night, changmin suggested that they watch movies. chaewon turned up in the living room with junk food while he set up the area and chose the film.
"it's bad for the baby, chaewon," changmin had said when he noticed the bag of chips in her arms. his wife looked back at him with pleading eyes. changmin knew well that she would get cravings and he would do his best to get her everything that she craved for.
"okay fine, just this one time," changmin sighed, making the girl cheer as she took bites of the chips. chaewon sat in changmin's embrace as his hand rubbed her growing tummy in an attempt to soothe her. their gazes were fixated on the movie shown on the television.
kick! kick!
both changmin and chaewon turned to look at one another immediately. "did you feel that?" chaewon whispered. "yea!" changmin exclaimed. he could not believe it. it was already the eighth month and every time chaewon had said the baby was kicking, he had never felt the kick. that night, he felt the tiny kick from his baby, making him laugh and grin so widely. and then the kicking did not stop, making chaewon winced. changmin felt bad - it was one of those nights that the baby was active and causing chaewon to have sleepless nights.
"baby? can you hear me? it's daddy changmin!" he smiled, shifting to put his ear on her tummy as he continued to caress his wife's tummy.
"oh! she stopped kicking! continue talking!" chaewon excitedly ushered him to resume.
"hello sweetheart! we're excited to see you too! but it's night time so mummy needs to sleep," changmin pouted, making his tone sound sadder at the end - and the kicking stopped.
"wow, she's gonna be a daddy's girl," chaewon stated and changmin could only grin at her as he thought of all the tea parties and dress up days he would experience with his baby girl.

changmin supported his wife into their now shared room. they no longer had separate rooms after agreeing to share one. chaewon took small steps as she held onto her husband, who had always been patient with her pregnancy phase. all the moodswings and cravings of her that he had to face for 9 months, she was more than thankful that he stayed by her side. changmin had made sure chaewon was comfortable in bed before he went to do bits of cleaning left. as he was turning around to leave, chaewon tugged on his arm lightly. "yes, love? do you need anything?" it was the same soft and gentle voice that made chaewon fell for him. his eyes searched her face with full of concern.
"i need you with me here," chaewon smiled up at him.
"let me switch off the rest of the switches and lock the door. i'll be here with you in a bit, baby," he pressed a kiss onto her forehead.
changmin hurriedly checked everything in the house, making sure all unused electricity were switched off and that the front door was locked. until he made sure that everything was secured, changmin quickly made his way into their room only to see chaewon sleeping peacefully. the sight of her looking so cuddly under the covers made him smile as he climbed under the covers. he did not hesitate to wrap an arm around her and chaewon gladly shifted to lay on his chest.
truthfully, pregnant chaewon was adorable. the way she would be upset at him for one of the most ridiculous reason like how she could not fit into her favourite dress when her tummy started to grow and changmin could only hug her, admitting his fault and promising to buy her a new dress. or the way she would look at him with those sparkly eyes when she craved for some food - even the food she craved was weird like rice cake dipped with ice cream. his hands brushed over her hair, moving the stray strands out of her face. but ji changmin was very glad to had gone through all of it with choi chaewon and he would not want it any other way.
