Having stepped off the elevator, Fiara now had an opportunity to see who it was who'd pressed the button to her floor before she had. Truth be told, she wasn't sure why she wanted to know so badly... it must have just been curiosity. Only one other person stepped off the elevator with her before the door closed and continued upwards, so reason shows that this person should be the one.
She looked to her left and saw a girl who appeared to be about her own age, with black, wavy, short hair, fair skin and blue eyes. She was a few inches taller than Fiara, but not in an intimidating way, even though it was clear that the girl didn't seem pleased about her situation. She was also wearing the same white scrubs that all the other new arrivals wore, so it was safe to assume that this was probably her first day in Afterlife as well. "First day?" she asked, trying to start up some sort of conversation. The girl simply offered her a glare in response before looking down at her key number and looking ahead of her again as she turned and began walking down the partially crowded hallways towards her room. Fiara did the same, but grimaced slightly when she realized both rooms were apparently in the same direction.
She then proceeded to follow the girl down the hallway at what she thought would be a safe distance until the girl suddenly stopped in her tracks and turned to face Fiara saying, "Are you following me?" in an accusing tone.
"No! I swear," Fiara defended herself, holding up her key and saying, "Our rooms must just be in the same area."
The girl then rolled her eyes as she turned and continued down the hall saying, "Well then don't be a little creep about it."
Fiara would have tried to continue the conversation, and try to figure out why the girl would be so rude to a total stranger, but two things stopped her. The first reason was that maybe the girl had just had a really stressful day and wasn't thinking clearly, and as thus was easily irritable when it came to even the smallest of things. Or maybe she was just one of those insecure types who preferred to be left alone, and barely speak to anyone unless they find it absolutely necessary. The second reason she didn't attempt to continue the conversation was actually a pretty simple one... she'd already found her room, and was currently standing beside it, as she watched the other girl walk down the hallway and enter her own room a few doors down. 'What even was that interaction?' Fiara asked herself awkwardly before turning and sliding the key into her own lock, turning it gently as she heard a click, signaling her that the door had been unlocked. She then turned the knob and pushed the door inward, revealing the spacious room within.
The room was set up similar to any other hotel room, with a dark green couch against the one wall with a coffee table positioned directly in front of it. The walls were covered in a white and green striped wallpaper, and the floor had a green carpeting of similar coloring. There was a large, queen sized bed situated against the wall towards the other side of the room, with white bedding that looked absolutely divine, and a desk opposing that on the other wall. There were a few things missing though. So far as she could tell they didn't have any kitchen appliances in the room, like they do in normal hotels, probably due to the fact that it was only meant to be an overnight stay with you leaving the following day, they also didn't appear to have a television. 'Probably another one of those things that they decided not to make because we used them too much,' she assumed as she explored the room a little more. As usual, there was a bathroom located near the entrance, which she didn't do more than take a quick peek inside before realizing it was similar to any other bathroom she'd ever seen and decided to simply move on to the rest of the room. As promised, she found a small stack of neatly folded clothes waiting for her on the desk, along with a pair of boots set on the floor beside the desk. She decided that for the time being, however, that she would remain in her scrubs, so she could use them as night clothes of some sort, and keep the spare clothes fresh for the following day.
