Chapter 32

You laid on the couch listening to Bakugo run around the house looking for lighters to light the candles that he had been saving up. The storm had caused some tree branches to hit a power line and caused the power to go out.

You brought the juice up to your lips and took a swig from your cup as you watched him shuffle through a drawer one last time. The flash light on his phone only getting him so far.

"God damn lighter!" He yelled at the drawer as he begun to look more violently. His patience running thin as he couldn't find the damn thing.

This caused a soft smile to tug at your lips and a laugh to escape. The sound coming off like a soft harmony to Bakugo's ears and he looked up to see where the beautiful sound had come from. When he seen the silhouette of you, his jaw clenched and he could feel his heart rate increasing at an alarming rate. Where you laughing at him?

"How about you get off your ass and help me find it?!" He yelled, trying to ignore the dust of red that had found its way into his face.

"Sure thing, Dumbass." You said mocking the way he spoke to you and stood up. Your fingers working to turn on the flashlight of your phone.

"You know what? Stay right there." Your eyes turned up to see Bakugo glaring at you. His body moving to hop over the counter and towards you.

"Shit-!" You yelled activating your enhanced speed magick as the chase had begun. His vampire speed against your magician speed. The two of you could barely be seen as you had managed to run throughout the entire house and back into the living room in what felt like two seconds. His arms finally clasping around your waist and picking you up off the floor.

"Ah!" You yelled, laughing loudly as you had been caught by the vampire. He plopped your down roughly onto the couch and pinned you down. His waist straddling your own keeping you from moving. "Oh no! Please don't hurt me!" You called out jokingly as you peaked at him between your fingers.

"Oh no, you're fucking dead." Bakugo said and reached down letting his fingers tickle your most ticklish areas. This caused laughter to erupt from your lips as you squirmed underneath him. Tears forming in your eyes from how hard you were laughing.

"Stop it!" You laughed while squirming underneath him and trying to get his hands to stop tickling you.

"Not until you say 'I'm a dumbass'." He hummed with a mischievous grin. A laugh escaping his lips from how hard you were laughing.

"Oh my-!" You couldn't even finish before you started busting out laughing again. "I-I'm a Dumbass-!" You struggled to get out and pushed at his hands trying to get them to stop. "I'm a dumbass!" You howled again and let your laughter die down as he stopped tickling you. His hands still sitting at your sides as he watched you recover from his attack. A confident smile playing across his lips as he looked down at your flushed features. Your own eyes still closed as you tried to catch your breath.

"That's right, Dumbass." He said and let his hand move up to wipe the tears from your cheeks. You grabbed his hand and leaned your face into it without really thinking. Bakugo's hand just being the most familiar and stable thing around. His thumb wiping the dampness from under your left eye before you opened your eyes to look at him. Your breathing still erratic and smile wide.

The light your phones had produced giving you both enough light to make out where each other were. "You're so cruel." You hummed and reached up towards his shoulder as he moved his hand from cupping your face to your right eye and wiping the wetness from that eye away as well.

"Oh I know. I'm just terrible." He stated and moved, so you could escape his clutches and him sitting on your waist. You moved to pull your knees to your chest, so he could sit down regularly and you did the same. "But at least I'm not the dumbass." He teased and drew in a deep breath.
