Chapter 19

(Y/NS POV)//16TH SEPTEMBER 2020//

I walk through the hospital with my mask on. I get to Zach's room and see him saying goodbye to his family.

"Seriously, just go home." He chuckles.

"Fine we are going." His mom says.

They all walk out of the room and see me. Myta hugs me, then Josh, then Ryan and lastly Reese. They all walk down the corridor. I knock on Zach's door and he looks at me. He looks at me and sits up.

"Hello." He says.

"I bought you food, I know how crapy the food is here." I say softly.

I pull the bag from behind my back.

"Thank you." He says softly.

I go and sit down in the chair next to him he starts to eat the food.

"Why are you dressed up?" He asks.

"Just had my last date with Liam." I say to the floor.

"Really for y'all's last date you looked beautiful. That's hardly a punishment." He chuckles.

"I know but I wanted to go out with a bang." I giggle.

"So it's over with you two." He asks.

"Over, over." I say to him. "I'm sorry I didn't listen to you."

"It's okay, I know you where just in love." He says giving me his eyes.

"Yeah I guess I was." I say to the floor. "But why would you fight him? Second question how did you loose the fight?"

"Well, he hurt you and I had to hurt him but he's friends with the boyfriend of this girl I hook up with every now and then." He says shaking his head like it didn't matter.

"So how long will you be in here?" I ask.

"Two more days, then I'm on bed rest at home for a week." He says.

"What's hurt?" I ask looking at his body.

"3 broken ribs, my knee is destroyed and my shoulder." He says pointing.

"Oh well I guess I'll have to come around and babysit you." I say in a mom tone.

"Will that be my I'm sorry for not listening to you about my psycho boyfriend?" He mimics.

"I guess it is." I giggle.

"I never meant to hurt you." He says.

" I know." I say back.

"I'm just trying to keep you safe in this city." He says.

"Sure brother." I say sarcastically.

We both laugh a bit.

"You should head home." He smiles at me.

"Why? Do you want me to leave?" I ask him.

"Y/N it's 8:30, you won't be home by 9 and you have school tomorrow." He says putting all his rubbish in a bin besides his bed.

"Okay brother." I say again.

He chuckles.

I stand up and hug him.

"Night night." He whispers to me.

"Goodnight." I say to him.

We pull away and I start to leave to leave the room. I turn back to him at the door.

"Thank you though." I say to him.

"Anytime." He smirks.

I turn around again. We say bye again and I leave.

//HOME//

I walk through the door and see my mom in the kitchen.

"Hello sweetie." She smiles.

"Hey mom." I smile.

"How are you feeling?" She asks.

"I'm not great but I feel better then this morning." I admit as I go and stand with her.

"I'm sorry sweetie about him." She says hugging me.

"I know." I say kissing her cheek.

"I got a call from Myta." She smiles.

"What did she say?" I ask getting a drink.

"Her and Josh have got to go to Texas for Josh's mom so she was wondering if you would go help Zach look after the kids for a week. And mostly himself." My mom asks.

"I could do that." I smile.

"I'll tell her your happy to." My mom says.

"How was Zach?" She asks.

"He's okay, he didn't look to bad." I say.

"That's good, what did you two talk about?" She asks.

"Just talked about the whole situation." I say.

"What's he gonna do about Kay?" Mom asks getting herself a drink.

I think. We never discussed that.

"We never talked about it. I guess he can't do anything because of management." I say to her.

"Oh I'm sure he'll find a way around that." She laughs.

She kisses my cheek and begins to leave the room.

"Sweetheart?" She says as she is walking out of the room.

"Yes?" I ask.

"Love makes you do wild things, always remember that." She says before walking away.

I wondered what that meant. That meant nothing to my situation. I had been cheated on and my brothers best friend beat my ex boyfriend up.
