The next morning, Emerson is heading to the hotel where Gabby and Delilah are staying. Today, she and Delilah would be touring Chicago with Gabby, and stopping by to see a few faces.

They would be visiting firehouse 51 at the end of their day for a few reasons. The main one was so that Emerson could see Wallace Boden.

Erin was having second thoughts on leaving Chicago again. This was her home, no matter what. Emerson's home was her mother, but they made the deal to come to Chicago after graduation, and not a minute before.

"We should cancel the plans, and cuddle all day. That sounds like a deal to me." I was trying my hardest to do practically anything to keep Lilah and myself laying in this bed. But, of course, she's too excited to stay and cuddle. "We can cuddle later, we have things to see today babe. And if we stay here, you'll be bored in an hour.

Yes, most of this was true. But it's not like I would annoy Lilah. I would just cuddle, and snore.

But, she gave me no choice. Next thing I know, I'm laying in the back of the car, waiting until we arrive at Med. Delilah was making a choice between Med school in New York, or Med school in Chicago.

She had an offer lined up at Chicago Med, so we were really killing two birds by stopping by. Med would be the only place I apply after I become a nurse practitioner.

Gabby and my mom have both talked very highly of this place, as well as told us who to go to if there's ever trouble, and who to steer clear of. "Alright girls, the first person we are meeting with is Sharon Goodin. She's the most important person here from our end. Then, I'll introduce you guys to so friends of mine."

Nodding, we follow close behind Gabby. Making it into the E.R portion of the hospital, it's crazy busy to someone who hasn't spent half their life in one. Delilah is at home, while I feel like I'm about to have a panic attack. There's so much going on, and there are no weapons in sight. I'm used to yelling and guns blazing. But Lilah, this is her precinct. This is her FBI team. She's at home.

Walking up to the nurses' station, the first person who notices us is an older nurse, with really long hair. "Gabby, it's so good to see you! How have you been? And who are these lovely ladies?"

"I'm good. Glad to be back. This is my goddaughter, Emerson, and this is Delilah, her girlfriend. We have a meeting with Sharon to show the girls how an actual day would go for them. They are thinking of going into the medical field"

The nurse, whose name I learned was Maggie, was overjoyed with Gabby's reply. "Well, anytime you ladies want some advice, or help with med school, I'm always here. And it's so good to finally put a name with a face!"

Leaving Maggie, after she double checks that Sharon is up in her office, we head for Sharon's office. Lilah hasn't stopped smiling since we got here, or holding my hand.

When we first started dating, I was so scared of what everyone would say. I couldn't see that I was hurting Lilah by not telling anyone, or wanting to be seen with her. When I finally noticed, I told everyone that second. I never wanted to hurt her intentionally, and now; I don't care who knows or says anything.

Sharon Goodin was overly impressed with the resume of both teenagers, "I think you both would do well here, and you've both been offered a permanent spot as an Attending, and a Nurse Practitioner. We would love to have you ladies here, and your scores and grades speak for themselves. Knowing that you have prior knowledge of everything is a bonus for us, and extra help for you. Now, how about a tour?"
