THREE

Summer break...

"A" really loved summer break. That was because it means that she got to do anything she wanted to without worrying about school assignments. Usually, she spends these days reading, knitting, cooking or shopping alone. But this time, she wasn't alone. She had Haruchiyo. Her dearest best friend. They spent so much time together they became inseparable. The two went out to eat everyday, shopping, went to amusement parks, to Haruchiyo's gang meetings and fights, etc. There was literally almost nothing that they did not do together.

It was during one of their hangouts, that "A" started to fall Haruchiyo. That day, they went ice skating. As the girl watched her best friend skate, she noticed how handsome he was. His hair tied into a high ponytail, his long eyelashes visible, the scars at each end of his lips, and the slender figure he had. They all caught "A"'s attention. She thought that Haruchiyo was perfect. All the way from his looks, to his personality; kind, loyal, fun, etc.

From that day on, Haruchiyo Sanzu was on her mind 24/7. All she did was imagine scenarios of them two dating in her head and then get flustered over those. From then on, every time they meet, she would wish that he notices her small hints and asks her out. That never happened though.

This went on until one day. The two were having a sleepover at "A"'s house. The pair of best friends were playing the game of 'Truth or Dare'. It was the boy's turn to ask the girl whether she wants to pick Truth, or Dare. "A" decided to choose Truth. The question was, "Do you like anyone? If so, who?". Haruchiyo asked this out of pure curiosity and also because he wanted to know whether or not his crush liked him back. The female's face went all red and said, "Yes, and that's you." The boy just stared at her with a shocked face. He didn't know how to reply to that statement. Instead, he just suddenly sat crossed legged in front of the flustered girl who was looking away from him and told her to look at him in a serious tone. "A" reluctantly obeyed and looked him in the eyes. Haruchiyo then put his hand on the back of her head and proceeded to pull her closer to him. Their first kiss. The girl was obviously shocked and did not respond to the kiss. After a while, Haruchiyo pulled away and just stared deep into her eyes. He then proceeded to say, "Let's date."

That was how Haruchiyo Sanzu and "A"'s love story began.

During the rest of their summer break, all they did was go on dates and they spent time with one another. Their parents (if Haruchiyo has parents) found out and actually approved of their relationship. They knew how close the two were even before they started dating and decided that the two were perfect for each other.

Soon enough, summer break ended and their first year of high school started.
